Saved my 2011 dodge caliber mainstreet. coolant leak and head gasket issue. I replaced my full radiator hose and connector before , I bought this since I was still having some kind of loss of fluid. I had over heating once almost twice after adding this head gasket fix. Haven't had any issues since! It's been a few months of daily drives.SUPER easy to use. I didn't drain my system before, just took out some fluid and followed the rest of the directions. WISH I did it sooner
I have my car was overheating and I guess I have water in the third cylinder so we use this and as long as I don't go fast over a certain mileage like 55 mph I'm safe from overheating
For months we were having to fill our radiator with coolant about every 2 weeks because of slight overheating. Additionally, when I would change the oil, the oil was milky, mostly sludge and would be super slow to drain. After doing some research online, I made a best guess that I had a blown head gasket. This is where the coolant leaks into the engine cylinders and apparently mixes with the oil causing it to sludge. People I spoke with said that's a very bad and expensive thing to fix (Over $1,000 job in most cases). Then I found several products claiming to seal or repair head gasket leaks. Bar's had the best ratings that I could find and was the most expensive about $30 for a can. Pretty cheap fix though for a $1000+ problem. What have I got to lose? I followed the directions and WALLAH! It worked! I'm no mechanic but I wanted to make sure all the sludge was out so I later bought Motor Flush by Motor Medic for about $6 at Walmart. Flushed all the sludge out on the next oil change and our 2004 GMC Yukon has been running like a charm. No more overheating, low coolant problems, or sludge! Thank you Bar's Leaks!!!
How good? ö¿ö Worked perfect and I recommend it highly. If you own a Dodge Durango and it has a leaking head gasket this is the only stop leak product to use. I changed radiator, thermostat, water pump, auxiliary water pump, fan clutch trying to fix my overheating problem with NO luck. Finally a neighbor came to help and told me it seemed to be the head gasket. Not a good thing when not working. Search everywhere online for a solution because $1,500 and up was not feasible. Viewed a few youtube videos and came upon a video where a young guy bought this Bars product. His friend captured the whole process and seemed so easy to use it. It overflowed somewhat and they followed the instructions to run the car for 15 minutes then once the engine cooled he topped off the radiator and they test drove the car for over an our with no overheating at all. It Worked! I did the exact process and today a week later and no more overheating . This product is a blessing! Ken
Great product I put this thing in my cab so far after three weeks no antifreeze disappearing even though I drive 200 miles/ day roughly. Thanks bar. I hope it lasts for year will keep you guys posted.
Well I was surprised it really worked very fast and easy don't know how long it will last but it will definitely get you home until you can fix it
but it cost sealed up a block leak within seconds. Don't usually buy the sealants but this one definitely worked
Didn't seal my head gasket up
it actually sealed up the water outlets on the gasket not just the crack. it caused my block not to recieve water blew my motor.
Didn't work for me. Tried it three times. Used half bottle as recommended, then the other half. Saw a review that said it worked using idle at 2000 rpm. Put a whole bottle in and followed his method. Didn't do anything. Car is in repair shop for $2000 head gasket replacement now. To be fair I first tried K-seal. That didn't work either.
