When I did this repair on my radiator, unfortunately there weren't any instructions on the package... I learned from mechanic that I didn't need to use ALL 5 TABLETS, but a Half of ONE would have been sufficient lol. A $3 repair turned into a few hundred dollars to have the radiator flushed out. STILL sealed up, though!
I admit it. I was skeptical. But I decided for the price I might as well try it. I followed the instructions exactly and after idling for 15 minutes, there was no longer a radiator leak! Unbelievable! My leak was in the reservoir so I could see it every day. I would also get constant reminders from my vehicle telling me to add coolant. That all stopped once I added this product. Almost 30 days have gone by and still no problem. Highly recommend.
So i read so many reviews and have not heard a bad one from people that actually used this product and actually knew their problem was a heater core leak. Autozone advised against it and i read some reddit mechanic forums that advised against it too but the majority were positive experiences. any negative comments sounded like they actually didnt know what was causing the leak in their vehicles and some that made no sense because they obviously dont understand the science behind this product. So regardless of the advisement..and therefore Instead of bypassing my heater core ...i tried this and wouldnt you believe BAM it worked immediately! heater core was leaking coolant directly into drivers side in 2008 versa.
I had a small leak at the top of my radiator. I was losing about a cup of antifreeze a day. I purchased this stop leak and went to put it in my radiator but the radiator was pretty much full. I put maybe a shot glass worth of this stop leak in my radiator, that's all that would fit. to my amazement it actually stopped the leak. I highly recommend this. it works!
This is the first time I used this product and it worked. Make sure you read the instructions before using to make sure you are doing the job the right way. After 15 minutes of idling and half the bottle that I used I noticed it stopped leaking and I notice my car doesn’t heat up like it used too
I had two vehicles with heater core leaks. One dropped about a gallon in a day. Bar's Liquid Aluminum was used and two years after it still hadn't leaked a drop, same for the other vehicle. I now have one that leaks maybe a gallon every 2-3 months with a small but noticeable drip. About an hour after using Bar's the leak as expected, is nonexistent. THIS STUFF WORKS. Make sure it's not your hoses and clamps first, do your best to diagnose the leak as a radiator or heater core leak - then trust that if it's not catastrophic, that THIS STUFF WORKS.
My grandson use this. Absolutely great. He made a 200 mile trip home. Started to have radiator problems when he left my house. Put this %26 2 1/2 gallons of water in the radiator. Made it all the way home so his dad could fix it. I Bought one %26 keep it in my car now so if I ever have problems I’ll be ready. Can’t say enough good about it. Recommend to anyone. He drives a BMW %26 I drive a Honda.
I literally shook it up cranked my truck poured out in the radiator and within five minutes my leak was gone!
4stars for now, but funny thing is I bought a OEM radiator thru who else Wal-mart. I have 22 year old cars. Anyway, the radiator was leaking Wal-Mart of course hooked up the refund. So had to try this from the reviews it appears to work. gooey liquid with looks like shards of metal. So far, so good anyway.
Before it happen it keep draining the antifreeze and could not find where the leaking are so I put bar,s leak in it and let run fews miles and I check the level it keep full. It seem already fixed itself.
