My wife recently purchased Batiste Sweat Activated Dry Shampoo, and I have spent the last several weeks trying to understand a product that appears to violate the fundamental principles of both language and physics. Let's start with the name. Dry. Shampoo. As far as I know, shampoo is supposed to be wet. That's literally the whole thing. For decades, humanity has agreed on the process: Get hair wet. Apply shampoo. Rinse. Question why there are 37 different bottles in the shower. Batiste looked at this time-tested system and said: "What if we skipped several steps and confused everyone's husband?" Apparently you spray this stuff into your hair and it absorbs oil and helps reduce sweat buildup. No water. No shower. No explaining. Just aerosol sorcery. My wife uses it after exercising, during busy days, and occasionally when she wants her hair to look fresher. The truly confusing part is that it actually works. I keep waiting for the punchline. Every time she uses it, her hair looks great. Meanwhile I'm standing there trying to process the existence of a product that somehow cleans things specifically by remaining dry. By that logic, somewhere there's probably: Dry bath soap. Dry swimming pools. Dry scuba diving. The "sweat activated" part sounds even more suspicious. That doesn't sound like a beauty product. That sounds like a superhero origin story. "When exposed to perspiration, she becomes... DRY SHAMPOO WOMAN!" Yet somehow it's effective. My wife loves it. The scent is pleasant. Her hair looks refreshed. And I have learned absolutely nothing except that modern hair care is operating on a level of science beyond my comprehension. Five stars. Excellent product. My wife swears by it. I still maintain that shampoo should be wet, but the evidence against my position is becoming increasingly overwhelming. 😂🧴🏆💨
This dry shampoo really works when you're sweating! 🥵 my hair responds better with sweat activating Bastiste dry shampoo.
I sweat a lot. This stuff is amazing!
Great travel item! No white residue on my brown hair like some products. Easy to grab and go. Keeps my hair looking great in between washes.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the scent of this dry shampoo, it is super easy to use and sprays evenly where I want it. I use it before hitting the gym or going outside in the heat and it really helps keep my hair fresh, not feeling greasy or flat!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this dry shampoo! It smells great and I feel like it keeps my hair looking fresh way longer than a lot of other dry shampoo on the market! I even like it better than some of the expensive ones! The one down side is it has a bit of a white cast. Other than that it is fantastic! #freesample
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dry shampoo seriously blew me away. I'm a mom of 5, always on the go, and I train hard, so sweating is just part of life. I've tried SO many dry shampoos, but Batiste Sweat is different—it's like it knows how to handle my post-workout hair. It absorbs all that excess moisture without leaving that powdery buildup or sticky feeling. My scalp feels clean, refreshed, and my hair has volume again, not flat or greasy. #ad
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Batiste Sweat Activated Dry Shampoo is a unique addition to my post-workout routine, offering a convenient solution for refreshing my hair after an intense exercise session. As a fitness enthusiast, finding a product that caters specifically to the challenges of post-workout hair has been a game-changer. The concept of sweat-activated dry shampoo is innovative, and Batiste executes it well. The spray is easy to use, and the light, fresh fragrance adds a pleasant touch. After a workout, a few spritzes are all it takes to revitalize my hair and absorb excess sweat and oil. The formula doesn't leave a heavy residue, and it dries quickly, leaving my hair looking and feeling refreshed. The convenience of being able to skip a traditional wash after every workout has not only saved time but has also contributed to maintaining the health of my hair by reducing frequent shampooing. While the sweat-activated feature is effective, the level of oil absorption may vary depending on individual hair types and the intensity of the workout. For some, a quick touch-up may be needed for optimal results. The portability of the spray bottle is a plus, fitting easily into a gym bag or purse. However, the size may be a consideration for those looking for a more compact option.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product as a sample from Influenster. It wasn't the worst dry shampoo i have used but it also was not the best. It did help the appearance of my hair very temporarily but it left my hair feeling very cakey.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product did not work well on my hair. I have thick locs and could not work the spray into the roots. There was a white residue that took some time to settle in. After some hours I could no longer detect the spray in most areas. In one area where I was a bit more heavy handed, it took more than a day. Basically once my scalp began to create oil. I think the product would work well on all other hair hypes, but with mine it didn't work as I hoped. Having locs, I could benefit from a good dry shampoo, so I hope that this product becomes more inclusive next time. It smells good and I enjoyed catching whiffs of it throughout the day.
