Read reviews before I purchased and was prepared for the legs being plastic and the holes not premise for the legs. In the end the price was right, the size in height was a key component for my purchase. It was going under a window sill, needed 18 inch max. I like the look. Happy with purchase.
This is a hard thing to rate. I like the product but the directions should get 3 stars. It wasn't the easiest thing to put together. Also didn't read the description to know the legs are plastic but for the price it will do for now. Cute lil coffee table.
Very solid and looks great once it's put together. With the right tools it can be put together rather quickly. That said, the directions are terrible-one of those 5th grade illustration set of directions that really make no sense. Use real photos. Also, there were no starter holes for leg screws drilled into the wood and no indication other than those silly illustrations where they should go so I accidentally screwed them into the wrong side (the screws are very small so the holes are barely noticeable because the cubbies camouflage them, but be aware because again, the directions make this less than clear). The table sits a bit lower than expected, but in fairness, the description did give the dimensions for it, so I guess I just imagined it being a little higher than what it is. Finally, I was a bit disappointed to discover the legs are plastic. There was no mention of that in the description that I can recall. Once put together you can't really tell they're plastic, but it was a bit of bummer considering the look I am going for in my remodel. For the price, it's a good buy overall and I can't say that I'm not pleased with it, in fact, I like it very much.
Could put this together myself but had help. Don't really need 5 legs (and you have to literally screw your own holes, there are no pre drilled holes or marks where they go). Pieces are confusing (there are regular screws and the pre screws That go in different places). Way more pieces than needed. This is also way shorter than I thought it'd be by the photo. Might just use it in my daughter's room and she's 1. Can't comfortably put my feet up (and my couch is short too).
instructions were absolutely terrible and i was missing a couple screws to put it together adequately but that might just have been a shipping issue. even though putting it together was a little frustrating when it came together it is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL
Came damaged (chips on edges) Way too difficult to put together. The legs are a grey plastic, and YOU have to drill the holes for all 5 legs. Instructions could be better than they are. Looks pretty but wouldn't buy again.
Didn't come with instructions at all and cheap plastic legs you have to drill holes for?? Not the worst piece of furniture I've ever gotten, very nice color wood pattern, but you definitely get what you pay for!
I ordered a diner table set early this year. As it was delivered and I was putting it together, I noticed cracks on the table. Contacted hayneedle and never heard anything back. I kept it. Since I had some credits with hayneedle, I decided to purchase this coffee table. Once again, cracks on the table. Sigh. Its like, cant I get something from hayneedle that doesn't come with defects? Cant it just be perfect? My second try taught me no. This table was easy to assemble but do keep in mind, you'll need a drill. Why? For the legs, you'll have to drill in your own holes. There are no holes for it on piece 2. The table is small and short. Could work as a bench too bc of the size. The crack on the side is visible and makes the furniture looks cheap.
I like the look of the table however those directions were a literal nightmare. my 9 year old could've written better instructions. table legs are plastic so that was super cool (not) and there was a chip at the corner of the wood. my excitement over this product turned into anger really quick. also why just WHY would you not put in the instructions that you have to DRILL your own holes for the cheap legs?! okay my rant is done.
The directions don't tell you that you need a drill. It took over two hours to put together. Also, it is very very low to the ground. Smaller than expected!
