Proven or I wouldn't buy it.
I've been using it for years, and it's never failed me. l put a piece on my jig, and it's either a crappie or a bass every time.

These Crappie Bites really encourage a hit when hooked to a jigs hook!

They stay on the hooks good. I've seen people say they've caught bass and trout with them. But, I can only say I've personally hooked crappie, warmouth and a lot of bluegill. They come in different colors. I found the chartreuse and blue glitter ones work the best.
