Ohh just like I love my chicken better then bouillon i adore the beef two. These two flavors are my absolute minimum requirements in my kitchen as a chef. I love them for the effortless nights I don't want to cook anything too fancy. But it really makes everything taste like it took a lot of time to prepare bc it's sooo good. I use the beef for gravy or for ramen or soup or pasta dishes or beef dishes or whatever I feel like making. Especially French onion soup. Yes it's pretty perfect for that delicious soup to come to life a whole lot less effort. It's fantastic.
Always get this brand in all flavors they offer and I have an extra on hand so I never run out. They are shelf stable. Although they cost a bit more in price the Boullion offers organic as well which is a great option. When its cold it'd be hard to mix and I prefer not to add it that way but I use a bit of very hot water to the spoon size Boullion and I use a very small whisk to blend it and it breaks up perfectly.
As a cook, I much prefer this product (Better than Bullion) to any other type of flavoring (bullion, soup, granules or cubes) because the depth of flavor %26 because it's not salty like bullion, etc. The umami (flavor) is so much more versus adding broth or bullion, whether I'm cooking a roast, a stew, soup, or just about anything. It does cost more than Bullion, but you use very little %26 it keeps in fridge None of us likes lugging those cartons of broth, then you have to wonder HOW that broth was made! I know they aren't as careful as I am, nor do they add same seasonings...this small jar REPLACES those expensive cartons of broth, and fidly cubes or packets of salty bullion! Although this review is of Beef Better Than Bullion, it also comes in Chicken, Seafood, and several other varieties. I've cooked with this for years %26 have learned to trust this brand. It makes a Big difference in the flavor of your food. Use a small amount--you can always add more, but is difficult to subtract/adjust if you have too much! Highly Recommended!
I like this product more than cartons of beef broth. takes up little space. easy to use and regulate the amount of flavor. I thought it was expensive but after a few uses I realize it is not. so if you see it on sale, get it
This is great for making a beef roast or if your grilling and want to keep the burgers and brats warm in a crock pot or in a pan on the stove. So good!!
This is a staple at our house. It really enhances the beef flavor in soups, stews, and gravy. Don't use too much until you get an idea of how salty it is.
Throw away bullion cubes and do yourself a favor and buy Better than Bullion! It is so easy to use and can be added to most anything ~ gravy, soup, seasoning on roasts. Amazing stuff!
After using the better than bullion, I will never use the little cubes ever again. You can cut down on salt when using the Better than Bouillon products.
More flavor for the salt/flavor ratio compared with others. Paste doesn't last as long, so use it if you're counting on the beef flavor vs. beef and a bunch of other spices to carry your dish.
This product has so many uses. From simply providing a rich and beefy flavor to soups and stews, but to add depth of flavor to buttered noodles, mixed veggies, a roast or mashed potatoes, it's just versatile and delicious. Not to mention, it works as a fantastic base for a quick gravy with some corn starch or flour, provided you know how to do that. It's so much better than a regular gravy mix and much less expensive. Cheaper and tastes better? It's a no brainer and if you don't know how to make gravy, it's so simple you'll kick yourself for not doing it all these years. Just grab grandma's old cookbook, it'll be there. Try any of the flavors they make, they are all superior products. My kitchen never goes without. I've tried many others, probably all of them and this brand is the best.
