The colors are vibrant and varied. The ink flows as well as any ballpoint pen, the caps close tightly, the barrels have 6 sides smoothly made round. You get a lot of bang for your buck here! I got these to use on some super cheap ($1.25 store) notebooks with super thin paper, so the ink wouldn't bleed through.

Very little pressure is needed to write because of bold edges. Your hands don't hurt after writing for a while. I recommended these pens to students because you can write and study with these pens for long hours without much pain. I really love my Xtra bold pens!!!

These pens are a basic writing ball point pen. the pens are throwaway when the ink is used up. I bought the pens to use as an everyday writing tool. Nothing special about the pens. Great Walmart price for me who lives on Social Security monthly allotted money, so I buy from Walmart because of the great prices.

I really wanted to like these pens. They come in fun colors, write smoothly, and are inexpensive. Unfortunately, they skip and leave blobs of ink on the paper at times. As others have said, whatever Bic puts on the ends of the ballpoint is very difficult to remove. At first, I thought the blobs were from not removing all of the tip covering properly, but that wasn't the problem. I carefully looked at each pen tip under a magnifying glass and there was no tip covering left and still the ink blobs would happen. Not all the time and not all pens, but it happened enough to make me want to return them. Perhaps the blobs happen because of the bold 1.6 mm point, but that's just a guess on my part.

The first three pens I pulled out of the bag did not have ink and they are not from the original package.

It started out smooth and three words in it started to fade eventually it didn't write at all. I'm usually a gel pen person but because it is 1.6 I was excited until I wasn't. I'm very disappointed with this pen. If I could do less than 1 I would. It leaked the ink inside the barrel, that's the only saving grace.
