I love these BIC multi-purpose lighters! They're reliable, easy to use, and the flame lights every time on the first try. I've kept one of these lighters in a lighter cozy in my pocket for years, meeting the old Boy Scout admonition that a person should always be able to kindle a fire. With things being uncertain as they've currently become, I elected to stock up with what should be a lifetime supply (16 lighters). I store them in the freezer in the hopes the gas leakage will be minimized over the coming years.

Producing a lighter of this complexity which is NOT refillable is an abomination. It's not just about the ecosystem... think of taking this product on a boat, for a multi-year journey - do I need a box of them, to make sure I can lit my BBQ each night? BIC should be ashamed.
