Kingsford Original Charcoal Briquettes, 16 lbs

Being a caterer and partial owner of a smoking, we usually a brand of charlogs for that slow low smoke. However, when we are cooking around family and friends Kingsford always comes through. Doesn't burn fast nor over smokey. We have an upright smoker so its easy to light and keeps perfect temp with our chopped apple wood to perfectly smoke our food. Not to also mention it's at an excellent price point!

We purchase Kingsford Charcoal whenever we fire up the pit, for summer this is weekly for our family. We travel a lot! The burgers and hot dogs cooked with the Kingsford Charcoal provides the best consistent flame broiled flavor we are looking for. We take a bag with us when we visit the parks and cook outs by the beach. Highly recommend! The size of the bag for what we pay is also a good value.

These charcoal briquettes last a long time and give my food a great smoky flavor. Even when I accidentally overcook my food, it still tastes delicious. They're especially great for chicken, but they also add excellent flavor to steaks and other meats. They're easy to use, easy to store, and burn with a strong flame at first before settling into hot, long-lasting coals that are perfect for grilling.

We've been using these briquettes for over 30 years and they are the best. Easy to light and good flavor on the food. We have tried other less expensive briquettes and they are never as good as Kingsford! The bag they come in is thick which is also nice in case they are left outside and it rains, they still stay safe in the bag.

I noticed a bunch of different brands of charcoal so i tried them. I think this brand is still the best. I stopped trying others and will stay with this. It lights easy, it makes the food taste great and cooks my steaks just the way my hubby likes them. I lit it with charcoal lighter fluid for all charcoal so I have never tried to light any brand with out that. I can not speak for if this lights without fluid. Just stick with what works. That is what I have learned.
