Being a caterer and partial owner of a smoking, we usually a brand of charlogs for that slow low smoke. However, when we are cooking around family and friends Kingsford always comes through. Doesn't burn fast nor over smokey. We have an upright smoker so its easy to light and keeps perfect temp with our chopped apple wood to perfectly smoke our food. Not to also mention it's at an excellent price point!

I've been on a 3 year kick of only using lump charcoal. Well I couldn't find some so I went back to the kingsford bricks. I forgot how much longer these burned compared to lump. And I can get the bricks hotter than lump. I'm going back to the bricks. And I grill quite a bit.

Decent charcoal, does the job well. Lights up without much trouble and burns steady. Heat is consistent enough for regular grilling. The bag came in good condition, no issues with packaging. Overall, a solid option if you just need reliable charcoal without overthinking it. No complaints here.

This is the easiest to work with for me, i just match light it and quickly they all light and turn to ash and get my grill really hot really fast and the even better part, if lasts for a good amount of time, I've never timed it though.

It took for ever to get it started. Once started it was good though. I don't recommend it especially for beginners like myself. The Kingsford red bag starts a lot faster and easier.
