I sprayed it on my grill and at first I thought it wasn't working but I gave it a few minutes and wiped it down with paper towels and I was very surprised to see how clean it looked. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to easily clean up the mess on the grill
Easy to apply on cool grates and grill itself. Dissolved the grease and made an easy cleanup. In my case, I sprayed water all over and lightly brushed any stubborn caked grease with grill brush. Just wash down floor and into grass. Non-Toxic to grass. The Citrus scent was pleasant.
so I didn't clean my grill for over a year and I wanted to see how this worked. I sprayed both the griddles and let them sit for about 5 minutes then I came back out and used the new scraper/scrubber and that stuff is a miracle. my griddles are both like brand new.
I used this spray to clean my gas grill. I cook fish, burgers, beef steak, pork, and chicken on it. I probably had a few weeks worth of buildup on it that needed to be removed. It loosened up the caked on food nicely. Then using a brush I removed it. It also had a very pleasing citrusy fragrance to it. I would say that I went through about a quarter of the bottle in one Use, so 4 per bottle. I also like that it's safe to cook food on right after cleaning. I didn't expect to like the spray as much as I did. I hadn't ever used a cleaning spray Before on my grill. I recommend it.
Did a quick clean on a stainless grate that had sat for months with baked on grilling residue. It loosened up the crud enough that the grill brush easily removed everything it came into contact with. I was in a hurry, but a few more minutes to brush around the parameter would have made it look almost like new. I'm impressed!
The key focus of this cleaner is that it is safe to use on the grill for cooking purposes. It does a good job with light cleaning after every couple of grills. If you let your grill get very dirty before cleaning it, it will be harder to clean with this product. I don't like the idea of using harsh chemicals on the grates of a grill, so this is the perfect cleaner for me. I use it along with the citrusafe sponges. Works well. I would recommend letting it sit for a bit before scrubbing though. It makes it easier that way in my opinion. If you are looking for a eco-friendly cleaner that is safe to use around food, this is a great option. For an eco-friendly product, this is about as good of a cleaner that you are going to find.
I'm very impressed with its performance, I even used it on the oven too by letting it soaked over night. For some reasons, it's so hard to find good oven cleaners these days that do not put so toxic fume. Also, this comes with a nice sconce pad, really easy to use.
It's fine for regular maintenance and regular cleaning. However, as a degreaser for caked on carbon, it's isn't as good. You will need something stronger. Lots of elbow grease required but it left the grill fairly clean.
Our charcoal grill was in desperate need of a good cleaning, the racks had not been cleaned since last summer. Well when it came time to pull it out this spring we were dreading the task of cleaning up last years grease and muck, luckily we were sent the Citrusafe BBQ Grill Cleaner along with the Citrusafe Grill Scrubber to review. The directions were pretty straight forward and the spray smelled of oranges, it was simply divine. The scrubber worked well with its wire bristles made scrubbing off the grease a simple task. The two together are a good pair.
I was excited to try a grill cleaner that was safe to use and not with all the chemicals that I usually use. The scent of the Citrusafe BBQ Grill and Grate Cleaner was light, very citrusy orange scented. The unit did not come with a spray part so I poured the spray and waited 15 minutes for it to do the work. I then used the Citrus scrub to clean my grill and some of the food particles came off but not enough. The grill still felt oily and did not clean enough of the grill. Citrusafe BBQ Grill and Grate Cleaner did not work enough for me to be happy.
