In terms of reliability and ease of use, the Bic extended arm grill lighter is great to have around for anybody. Whether you're lighting candles, setting off fireworks on the Fourth of July, we're doing what the package intends for lighting a grill. These things have been around longer than I have been.. You don't stay on the shelf that long because you're a bad product. Where were you? I'd buy one and put it in the junk drawer., because I guarantee they will come time you'll be glad you have it

Gluten-free, A drunk has a hard time working it. I had to be an enabler and help with the procedure of: push it, pull it, click it, and it light. Only one does the motion and allows it to light from different angles. They work pretty well they are just a bit on the expensive side with the plastic handle being weak, when holding it in your hand it feels like you could break it if you squeeze very hard. Not refillable either. wasteful.

These lighters are a great value for the money, and can be used to light candles, grills, or anything that requires a bit of reach to successfully light. I would not recommend these lighters to people with arthritis, hand injuries, or dexterity issues as they are child proof, and therefore require a bit of maneuvering to successfully light.

I suppose that an item like this has to be a bit hard to light as a safety precaution. The result is that it takes a fair amount of strength to light. For younger folks I am sure that this would not be an issue but for people around 80 like my wife and I it is difficult. Actually difficult for me, impossible for my wife.

They are nice if you can get them to light. I'm sure a child could do it but I don't recommend them for older people. Possibly I got a couple of more difficult ones. I have bought these before and they were much easier to light. I would take a chance again but I'll stick with these and matches for now.

I ordered these lighters to use on my tall candles where a short match would no longer work to light the candles without burning my fingers. I thought these lighters with the exteded wand would be the answer; but for me they were not! I could not get them to light up with the flame; I made several attempts to get the light lit to no avail; my finger tips got sore. I am going to order long wooden matches and feel I will have better luck!

It is quite difficult to use these lighter, have to use 2 hands. on the backsid e nhave to push down on a 4 in rectangular release stick, then pull the trigger. Threw away the packaging so eill not be sending back for a return. Reakky disappointing as Bic has always been a good brand.

They childproof and safety feature these lighters to the point where they are unusable for anyone who does not have hands the size of a basketball player. You have to continuously hold down one very stiff button with thumb while clicking with index finger underneath and keep the whole thing stable with palm. I have to use two hands to even get it lit, but it snaps off if the pressure on the safety button is released even a little. For a person with small hands, it is physically impossible to use. Even my husband (a normal sized fellow) can't manage it without extreme frustration %26 a hand cramp. We gave these to our neighbor who is a 6'5" sasquatch, lol.

Neither one of them worked. This was. My second order I did. The first order you sent me disposable cat litter pans instead of the TRASH CAN I ORDERED and have not given me my CREDIT. The second order I did the BIC PENS YOU SENT NEITHER ONE WORK. I doubt I will order again and WILL NOT TELL MY FRIENDS TO ORDER
