This mix makes the most delicious pancakes and waffles ever! When my grands sleep over I know I'd better have a supply for our morning waffles. They love them and I think these are a little healthier than most packaged mixes. An added plus is you only need to add water and a little oil (for waffles only). Delish!
I'd recommend this mix for anybody w/ food, medical and/or health issues. I LOVE!! the flavor. I Love that its not just some flour, etc. It is higher prived than regular/ simple.pancake batter
In my opinion for the taste, texture and overall quality, Birch Benders is the best sweet potato pancake mix. I will buy it again. As well as some of their other products. Thank You
The product had a terrible taste. Not sure if I got a bad batch or what but I would be reluctant to buy this flavor again. All my other experiences with this brand have been good and I prefer it to other brands generally.
Its texture and taste are awful. These are not even close to sweet potato pancakes! The aftertaste doesn't go away. The water ratio is way off. Only eat if your in a zombie apocalypse.
Tasteful and a healthier choice. Good value for the money. You don't really taste the veggies and just a hint of cinnamon.
Taste was STALE. I had to spit the first bite out because it was so horrible. I bought expensive syrup. And real expensive butter. I was so excited when I saw sweet potato pancakes, oh yes oh my God that was rank. I am so disappointed. I want a pancakes so bad now I don't think I can look at one that was so rank. I've never bought food from Walmart that I had to spit out of my mouth that was horrible. I'm handicapped but I'm going to mail it back to the company that sent that someone who was dying for some sweet potato pancakes how heartbreaking that was spend my money on something but I had to almost vomit in the morning because of it. so I ate my piece of sausage and I cry about the quality of food and how it's declining what's happening to this country is heartbreaking. it's a shame that a pancake is too much to ask for.
I have three little ones. The twins are particularly picky. One loves veggies and fruits, but hates carbs. The other one hates veggies and only likes carbs. Even regular pancakes can be a miss for one of them which means I cook multiple items for bf creating more work for me when we have to rush out. I feel great about the ingredients too. We use a lot of nutritional yeast and hemp seeds to up their nutrition for anybody else with similar problem.
I've used another Birch Benders' pancake mix that was gluten and dairy free, but it wasn't available (I think it was Paleo?), so I tried this one. I was sorely disappointed as I thought it tasted very “earthy”. I've made a lot of homemade pancakes using zucchini, apples, oat flour, etc.. and used to healthy options, but am very disappointed with this version and won't be buying any more. I hope they didn't discontinue the other one I used to use…I think it had 6 GMs of protein. This option has 2 GMs. Sometimes it's nice to have a quick option vs making from scratch. If you do choose to make these, start with 1.5 cups of water and add until you get the consistency you need. I've seen other comments about it having too much water and batter being too thin. The package does state to not add all 2.5 cups at once and to add as needed.
It's perfect for me. No chemicals, and a great taste. Very easy to make.
