We have found the Bissell PowerLifter Pet Rewind with Swivel Bagless Upright Vacuum to be quite the cleaning machine. We are impressed with the power of the vacuum, as well as, the moveability of the machine and the ease of using it. Being bagless we were not sure how well that would work and how strong the suction would be on the machine. But we were amazed on the power. I like not having a bag and not having to buy "extra" bags for the Vacuum. Less expense for the consumer. There are a couple of things that we are not fond of with the Bissell PowerLifter Pet Rewind with Swivel Gagless Upright Vacuum as well. The Swivel part of the vacuum can be loosey goosey. Sometimes the machine will start to swivel even when you are not wanting it to swivel. The next thing that could be better is the placement of the cord. Instead of it being near the top of the handle so you can hold onto it better and not run over the cord as easily. It is at the bottom. I find myself stopping to pick the cord up more often so that I do not run I t over or trip over it. The last thing is that the start button is a plastic push pedal. In turning the machine off, the pedal popped out of its compartment, and in trying to get it back in the compartment, it actually snapped and broke off. So now to use the machine we have to push the tiny little button inside the compartment to get it started, so the foot pedal turned out not to be usefulfor us after all

As any pet owner knows, pet hair can become a real problem. It gets everywhere, from the carpets to the furniture - it is literally all over the house. I was happy to test and review this Bissell Powerlifter Pet Vacuum, because I am a pet owner and I have pet hair, all over the place. Most pets shed, all year long and it can often be especially bad, in spring/summer, when they shed their winter coats. I've had a few different vacuums, which claim to clean up pet hair, but not all get the job done. The first thing I noticed, when I took this vacuum out of the box, was that it has a lot of nice attachments. It is well equipped, to tackle pet hair, especially the special pet tools, for difficult to reach spots and upholstery. The unit is relatively lightweight and easy to manage, with swivel action, for great maneuverability. It picks up on hard floors and carpet equally well. It also has a handy cord rewind, which I really appreciate. I have a HUGE dark sectional sofa, which shows every little speck of my cat's hair. The pet tools do an excellent job, of removing it all, without much effort, on my part. The tools are perfect and there is great suction. I am so happy, about that, as it was always such a chore, to remove all the pet hair and now it's no longer a big problem. This is a bagless vacuum, easy to clean, with a washable filter. I would recommend it, as a very useful piece of cleaning equipment. Thumbs up!

We have two long haired cats that shed like crazy there is hair all over. This Bissell PowerLifter is great ! Was easy to put together there was 2 screws so you will need a screwdriver. The instructions were easy to follow. The Vacuum is lighter then ones I've had in the past. Has great suction very powerful. Love all the extra tools and they all have a place to hang on the vacuum. Very happy with this!

Bissell's Powerlifter Swivel Rewind Pet Vacuum Cleaner is a full-size vacuum that every pet owner should own. With two yellow labs in the house the hair is simply everywhere, all the time. What I really like about this vacuum is its brush roll and scatter free technology, there is no blowing hair away during vacuuming with this model. Swivel steering works great and allows easy maneuvering around the furniture with a slight twist of the wrist. The brush helps with loosening the dirt and hair even in thick carpets and the hair gets sucked it even on the ends of the brush roll. The accessories are indispensable for getting rid of hair on furniture and stairs. The floor brush will rotate while the accessories are in use. By far my favorite part of this vacuum is the automatic cord rewind which makes storage so much more convenient. Simply press the button until the cord is fully retracted. The vacuum also has Febreze pet odor eliminator filter included which I like a lot, it really keeps the outflow air fresh on this vacuum. The vacuum turns on and off with power button pressed with your foot. The dirt is collected in the tank, to empty it you press release button on the handle to remove dirt tank and press bottom release button over trash can to open bottom flap. Once empty return the tank onto the vacuum and make sure it clicks back into place. This is a great vacuum for any pet owner.

I greatly appreciate the opportunity to review this product, it did a great job on my carpet which was heavily soiled with hair from my cat. I was amazed at how much it pulled up , my carpet never looked better and the attachments picked up whatever was left over.

As soon as I got this home I pit it to work ! Matted hair on an old sofa only the cats used came out completely hairless! Easy assembly. Great attachments. The pet tools really do work. Suction power really good and easy to handle. Easy cleanup. I prefer bagless. I don't like running out of bags and having to keep buying them. Swivel action is smooth and handling is nice. I have vacuums in 3 floors because of 3 cats and a dog. This is now my favorite cleaning tool ! The cord rewind is a nice touch too!

I have a dog. He sheds. That being said... I vacuum quite often. I also have kids. My floors are constantly getting inundated with dust, dog hair, dirt, Cheerio pieces, etc. The Bissell Powerlifter is amazing. The suction is very powerful without being loud. See my pictures below to see what was sucked up in just my tv room. (Seriously, I vacuum at least twice a week!!!). I'm very impressed with what came up. Maybe a little grossed out too. The unit did need to be put together, but that was easy. The direction booklet is simple to understand and it is in English and Spanish. The unit is easy to move. It swivels. I like that. I like the fact that the on/off switch is down at the bottom, so you use you foot. The cord can be automatically retracted, so you don't have to wrap it around the unit. Overall it is a good vacuum cleaner and the price is also reasonable. Two thumbs up from me and two paws up from my dog!!

This is a fabulous vacuum, works great and full of awesome features. The vacuum works great and does an amazing job cleaning both carpeting and hard floors. The canister is easy to empty and the optional Febreeze filter smells great and lingers long after the vacuuming is done. The hose is long enough to allow you to work but not cause the vacuum to tip. It maneuvers easily with the pivot system and the tools work great for removing pet hair and cleaning furniture. My favorite feature is the auto wind up cord. It extends to length and allows great range and once the vacuuming is done a simple touch of the button allows easy wind up!

With the name Pet Rewind, I expected this thing to just suck everything un its path up. I took this to a friends house who has 3 cats and a cat tower that hasn't been vacuumed in literal years. First we tried the little purple attachment. The hair wouldn't suck into the hose and just sat on the red part which led to it just being spread elsewhere. Then we tried the green blade one. Alright. Getting something to happen. However, if we pressed to hard, the blades would stop turning. Ok, let's try this thing on the carpet. Now that was awesome. Ate everything that we gave it. My favorite features are the bagless tang, the push button retractable cord, the swivel head, the tangles brush. The things I didnt like so much was that one of the pet tools has no on board place to store it, the tank has to be pressed in a certain way, its a little more heavy than I'd prefer. All in all it's a nice vacuum. It did suck up some hair and it was nice to see the swirling action, just wouldnt consider this the end all be all of pet hair removal.

If your main focus is hair overall or you have hardwood floors or low carpet, this vacuum is definitely for you. Not recommended for high carpet. I was looking for a vacuum that focused on both hair and allergens/dust/particles, but this isnt it for me. I love a couple of features though, the retractinf cord is great. Love the swivel feature, the edge cleaning feature is very cool. It is too bulky for my stairs though. My previous vacuum was large enough to run over stair by stair. The febreeze filter addition was pretty cool. I ran the vacuum over my carpet, (I have 2 cats) and the hair picks up easily. But thats pretty much it. I had some dirt on my kitchen floor from entering and exiting the house from the backyard and the vacuum sucked that up too. But I personally not crazy about it. I researched a lot of vacuums after my shark vacuum decided to die on me and even with all the bells and whistles, this bissell does not compare to my shark vacuum. I used it once, knew it wasnt for me, and will be making my return shortly.
