Perfect for a senior yard lady 7 lbs and lasts about five years with indoor storage and cool environment for battery storage. I've been there for about 10 years using batteries and love it. FYI if you have a lot of trimming and edging you may need up to 4 or more batteries. But I would at least buy another 2 batteries and they hold a charge while storing. Also don't drop your battery on concrete, because that can cause a battery to fail.

Plenty of power. Successfully replacing the line and having the auto-feed feature work has always been a challenge but purchasing pre-wound spools by the six pack has been a game changer, making this tool easy to use.

Great weed eater for my husband who is recovering from back surgery. He usually uses a gas weed eater because we have 3 acreas. Light and efficient!

I shopped around online and decided on this cordless trimmer to replace my old one that died. Some reviews said it had no power...wrong! This little thing cut 100 times better than any trimmer I've ever had including gas powered ones. The battery did last about 45 minutes but by that time I need a break anyway and let it charge another 5 hours...I got time. I am a female, 48 years old and I can handle this trimmer just fine. It says NEVER bump it to feed it,so I didn't and it fed the string perfectly. I have no complaints about this trimmer,don't believe the negative reviews. Go buy it for yourself and believe in the Black and Decker brand. They build the best!!!

I bought Black and Decker because I use the 20v battery for several shop and yard tools. The trimmer is easy to use with some minor annoying flaws such as the lower handle not locking in well. Walmart had a better price than Home Depot , Ace, and Lowe's.

I have had multiples of this item over the years. Is it reliable? Yes, mostly. If you use it to trim %26 cut grass throughout the year with a reasonable amount of effort, then expect no issues - it's great, and it will last you a long time. If you try to overwork it on very thick grass or weeds for excessively long mowing sessions, the motor WILL burn out. Don't let that discourage you from buying it, just be aware of it's limitations. It's is a great affordable consumer grade tool, and for 90% of residential users it will absolutely get the job done for many years. Just don't try to overwork it. B D has been good at replacing this item under warranty when it fails.

It's definitely a light duty yard tool for a homeowner. The head is very tight to assemble. I thought it was broken at first but it did click together aftera little wiggling.

I actually paid less than $70 for this item on sale. It's fully charged in less than an hour and the battery easily last long enough to trim around my entire 1/2 acre lot. It's much lighter than my old electric trimmer and getting the trimming done takes a lot less time now that I don't have to drag the electric cord around behind me. The only downside is when trimming thick, tall grass, the grass tends to wrap around the head of the trimmer rather than getting cut by it. But, for regular grass and weeds, it's got plenty of power to get the job done.

It trims well but the battery life isn't very good. A second backup battery costs more than half the price of the entire trimmer itself. Not impressed. But wanted a trimmer that wasn't gas powered and trimmers with cords are cumbersome. I wish they'd improve battery life or price backup batteries more reasonably.

FedEx shipping is why I'm giving this 1 star, if I could I would give zero. FedEx seems to have the motto, “You'll get it when we say you get it, wherever we want to put it.” 3 times in one week FedEx has delivered my Walmart shipping items, this one was left in front of my neighbour's garage IN THE RAIN. I love Walmart, but can no longer do this with FedEx, who also left a shipped laptop propped up against my mailbox at the end of the driveway IN THE RAIN. Black and Decker trimmer is great, but I would buy it elsewhere or purchase in store at Walmart. Don't leave yourself at the mercy of FedEx.
