BLACK+DECKER BD05MWT6 Window Air Conditioner 5000 BTU, Cools up to 150 Square feet, White

The price point and an extra 500 btus got my attention. For a 14500 btu unit was priced less than other 14000 btu units. Standard shipping was free and quick. Ordered on a Wednesday night arrived Friday afternoon. I had to frame it for a sliding window but what a lifesaver it is with the nasty AZ heat and humidity. Added on a 4 year extended warranrty and was still priced well compared to other brands and sellers. Blows lots of air at 40°F at vent output. I am not a fan of Black and Decker but they did alright with this one. Not a quiet unit but typical of a window unit noise level. With a remote you really can't beat it!

Works very good and cools down my barn really quick.

Arrived damaged

The ac itself works good but the packaging was horrible and the delivery, it was full of dents

The unit showed up with damage, but I decided to keep it because it's so hot in Texas and my mom is disabled and older and I can't wait for another one or afford it

Weak compressor, quits when it gets over 100°. Makes a lot of noise and has very flimsy vents. This white unit attracts dirt dust and you can see it accumulating immediately but its impossible to clean inside. I bought 2, wish i hadn't.

When I received my order it was damaged and I have no way to send it back or take to the store. It's still usable but still shouldn't have come damaged when purchased brand new

corner of AC and box dented in. plugged in , does not work. noted motor detached from plastic housing with missing screws.

I can't read the plate behind the knob

Please do not but this window unit AC. the remote did not come with a battery. the accordion panels were IMPOSSIBLE to put on the unit. i believe they are the WRONG one. This AC unit is now in my window held together with duck tape and can foam. the battery needed for the remote cost $10. please do not buy this window unit.
