Excellent coffee maker. Basket handle a little sketchy but otherwise great coffee. I use Cafe Bustello at half the amount I used in my old maker. I brew on strongest level and coffee is better than old maker brewed. Saving me money on coffee and getting better tasting Joe!!!

Ease of use. Like that you can sneak a cup. Similar to a Melita we had before except the Melita had a hot plate which eventually disintegrated and then just caused a mess because it kept caking off. Appreciate that this one doesn't bother with a hot plate as the it never did much to a thermos anyway. We've had it 2 weeks and make a pot every day and have had no problems with it. I was looking for a design one that wasn't too wide to fit in a small space. With the controls above the top of the pot instead of beside it, it makes it smaller in width. The height is more than low enough to fit under the upper cabinets. The pot is wide-mouthed making it easy cleaning. It keeps the coffee hot for several hours and was even warm after 12 hours. We are extremely pleased with it and the price. Only caution -- make sure to LATCH the lid on top of the unit so the coffee flows through the filter properly.

I love that you can control the strength of the coffee. I like strong coffee so this is perfect for me. Also the carafe keeps the coffee warm for a long time.

Six (6) years ago I actually bought the same model from Walmart at my son's recommendation because of the metal carafe. I had a tendency to crack or break the glass carafes with other coffee makers. However, I did drop this last one, and the plastic band around the top of the carafe cracked, and and the crack continued to get larger. Thank goodness Walmart still offers this coffee maker and metal carafe, though not at the store itself. It's just the right size with the right features for me.

Look and style are great; also, small foot-print makes it nicely space saving. Easy to use and clean. Brews a good cup of coffee. Would have liked a reusable filter, but have to use disposable basket style. The ones I bought are too short leading to grounds ending up on coffee - this can be corrected when I find taller basket filters. Noticed that after brewing some water stays in the filter and slowly drains - not sure what that is all about. Love the thermos - keeps coffee hot a long time and VERY easy to pour - no drips like other models. All in all a good purchase. If it's built like our previous B&D, we won't be changing out for another 10 years!

It is an ok coffee maker . Once the coffee is made take the pot off the maker. The coffee will stay hotter longer in pot. The maker over all is made cheaply I think .

Makes good hot coffee. Like metal carafe over glass, broke two. However three pots of coffee did not go in to carafe but ended on counter. Beware white washer under lid curls up from heat and closes tje hole preventing coffee to go in. I took it off and turned it over, now it bends down no more problem. See how long it lasts.

I've had one week. But the clock is becoming cloudy, and the carafe seems to drip from the seam just before I pour. I purchased it because it's similar to one I had for 7 years. I may exchange it because I like the style and the brand. But I am disappointed in these defects.

I purchased the CM2036 coffee maker in December 2024 and the handle has broken away from the thermal carafe. The machine often stops throughout the brewing process, however I run through some vinegar, which helps for afew months. The coffee tastes great, but it is dangerous to pour with a broken handle.

I bought 2 Black & Decker 12-Cup Programmable Coffee Makers with Thermal Carafe online at Walmart. Both coffee maker lids broke in the same place on the lid. I emailed the manufacturer to get a replacement lid. Hope they respond with 2 new lids.
