Like this, fits in my hand good. It's easy to use , but the dust flies everywhere wear a mask
We bought the Black and Decker detail sander to work on the difficult to access areas of our cedar deck. The sander has performed extremely well. We used the extension piece for working on spindles. We especially like the dust collection receptacle. It's quick to remove and easy to clean. Our only complaint is not about the sander but about the difficulty, at least locally, to source the proper sanding sheets.
I bought this for detail working with small pieces of wood and gourds. It seems to be doing the trick for me. It collects the dust and doesn’t seem to be making much of a mess. I would recommend this product to anyone that needs something small and doesn’t vibrate a lot.
I'm a general contractor . I take on the small jobs the other contractors eather don't have time for or there beneath them . If one of my customers ask me if I would do an odd job for them along with what I was originally hired for I always I can take a look . Witch leads me to this little sander . I was asked if I could resurface a dinning set . Now I have sanders from DeWalt & Makita but none of those sanders will get right on to the tough spots & I don't have the time to sand by hand . So I bought this little wonder. It helped me finish the job in good time & now that I have it , I'm finding all sorts of used for it . In short I love this sander . Definitely recommend !
I really like this sander, I've put it through work too. I've sanded different woods, fiberglass, plastic all kinds of nasty stuff and the dust is contained really well. Speed is perfect and not much vibration. Precision definitely with the shape and ergonomics are right

I bought this to use on a small chair. I like how it fit between the posts and got close to the edges. You do have to buy sandpaper sheets that are better for stripping old paint before you can use the finer paper that comes with this sander. 60 grit will work with this sander. The weight of the machine allows you to work steadily for a lot more time than with a heavy sander too.
I bought it a month ago. I was very happy until i try the extended finger. It broke after two replacement. The metal insert that hold the screw in plastic meltdown. I was able to get a new one at the store I bought it. Now I don't use the extended finger anymore.
Could not buy Black %26 Decker sandpaper to match the twelve holes anywhere except online with Walmart at time of purchase of sander, which I did not do. Presumed Black %26 Decker palm hed sandpaper would be available insotre to purchase. It was not. Would not reccomend this palm held sander. Had to purchase another brand of sandpaper instore at Walmart. None of the holes aligned with this palm held sander, so, the dust cup was useless. Margaret
