Blackstone 15.3 oz. Griddle Seasoning and Cast Iron Conditioner

At 75, I've owned many grills over the years but never a griddle. Preparing for my backyard griddle to be delivered and converted to natural gas, I watched dozens of online videos; everything from seasoning the surface and care and maintenance, to best tested recipes for fried rice. Backstone Griddle Seasoning was highly recommended in many videos. I carefully watched exactly how to use it to maximum benefit. Suffice to say now that I was extremely pleased with how easy it was to season my new griddle, and how well it is performing since. It's been almost a month, and I am griddling at least 3x a week.

I was a little skeptical if I needed a proprietary seasoning mixture for my griddle, but I decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did. I liked it so much that I've order 2 more jars and plan to use it after each BBQing session. There's no odd smell and leaves the griddle with a proper seasoning.

Perfect blend of oils to season your griddle when it's new or after it's been thru a thorough cleaning.

I put the coating on 5 times then used it a week later. Works good but I then recoated after cooking and that round seem to work a little better. The pic is a little deceiving, but it does help. I think one pic was taken during the day time and the other was at night.

Makes it easy to season your blackstone

This product works extremely well. Blackstone tells you to use an oil from home or there product, which is a mixture of different oils. For the price, I went with the larger size of 15.3 oz. This stuff goes a long way and is well worth the price. You will not be disappointed.

Like the bigger size

It work perfectly.... You need to heat the griddle up the first time. before applying aAn burning it off on high. Then heat It up the second and third time.y and let burn off slow under med- high heat..

Our Blackstone doesn't get as much use as I'd like and we do a good job of cleaning it afterwards so it wasn't in bad shape to begin with. After applying the product I didn't notice to much difference in the appearance of the griddle. We haven't cooked on it yet though. I'd recommend it just as a precaution to keep the griddle in good condition.
