Makes cooking at the campsite easy. We make a huge breakfast of eggs, bacon and pancakes for 4 people on this with room to spare. The griddle surface is steel so I use pam on it for non-stick cooking. A bottle of propane and Im good to go. I saw where you can buy an adapter so I can use a large bottle of propane so I wont run out. It has adjustable rubber feet so I leveled it out on the picnic table so my food didnt spread out all over. The burners have built in igniters so no lighter needed. And with 2 burners I can cook at different temps. All in all this is a home run
This Blackstone griddle is AWESOME!!! We sometimes go camping and will definitely take it with us. But for right now this griddle has been in use several days throughout the week . We have used it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The size of the griddle offers a tremendous amount of space. You have a crowd, then this would definitely fit the bill. It was easy to setup. I still believe it has to be seasoned a little more. One night we made steaks with asparagus and the grill did not disappoint. I do wish the hard top was attached to the griddle itself. The knobs were easy to use and easy to adjust to desired settings.
I loved my table griddle!!!! Perfect size to take to camping, family cook out or even just to make pancakes in the morning outdoors. Make sure to season before using. It's cleans very easy. It comes with it's lid. I will need to purchase a cover to protect it from the sun. You won't regret buying this griddle!!!
I’ve heard a lot of rave about the blackstone griddles but never had actually ate anything cooked from one or anything like that. Not even seen one in person for that matter. I decided to buy my (ex) husband one for Christmas. And got myself one also. Well he made us some t bones on it a couple nights ago and they were so much better then what they are on an grill. He loved them also. He now is all about his blackstone. Telling all his buddies how great of a product it truly is.
Love this Griddle for my camper. Small enough to fit in my storage compartment but cooking area is perfect for cooking up food for 3 to 4 people at a time depending on the food. Easy to season with some Avocado Oil and assembly was simple.
Love this compact griddle. It takes much less space, than an actual grill, but makes same good steak or any other kind of meal. Plus you can take it anywhere with you. It’s especially perfect for camping. We go camping every year, and can’t wait to take it with us on the next camping trip. You can cook anything you want on it. It was easy to put together the only thing I would recommend getting a bigger tank rather than the small ones.
It's good. First, do not grill on it until you properly season it or it will take a turn for the worse. Seasoning the griddle is time consuming and you want to do it correctly so take your time and watch youtube vids from blackstone to guide you. Seriously, take your time here. This griddle requires upkeep unlike a standard grill or one with coated cast iron grates. you have to keep it clean and seal it always. Basically, you will use a whole 1lb bottle to season it, maybe more plus, you will want a propane torch to get the side and corners properly sealed. My first grilling on it was onion smash burgers and they were amazing and cooked quickly so expect all you knew about timing with a gas grill to be altered. Quality is good, replacement parts are pricey and the lid has two feet that are placed to sit on the griddle surface. It is easy to transport but not quite as easy as a baby Q or even a cheapo propane camp grill. If you are in the niche market for unique grilling, this is it.
I was excited for this "Blackstone" "Adventure Ready 22" Tabletop Griddle" with Hard Cover to have something smaller to use and take on the go. I found the griddle okay for home use but it really needs the extra extender so a larger propane tank can be used and a stand. To get both items it’s about an extra $130-$150 in costs. It’s a bit of a hassle to use on the go due to the weight and size plus finding a safe heat and flame resistance surface to use it without a stand can be challenging. The Good • The materials seen to be quality. However, there was a burner problem right out of the box. • This is not what I would consider a small or portable grill. The griddle cooking space is about 22" ¼” wide x 16 ¼” depth which is about 361 sq. in. of cooking space. Overall it’s 30” wide x 23” depth x 13” tall. It can feed 2-6 depending on what is being made. • Since there are two burners you can cook items at different temps. • It apparently uses about 24,000 btu per hour. Out of the box it is set up to use a 1-pound canister which provides about 21,548 BTUs so you will get under an hour of use per canister unless you purchase an adaptor for use with a larger tank. • It needs to be used on a heat and flame resistance surface for cooking unless you purchase the stand. • The cast iron griddle, which is the bulk of the weight of the grill, needs to be seasoned by adding oil to the hot surface before first use and then after each use to protect the surface. • It has a rear “grease management system” which is a cup that catches grease from an opening at the back of the griddle plate. Considerations • One of the burners was visibly off center after unpacking and would not light. It took some adjusting but I was finally able to get it to work. It made me a bit nervous to use it in case it leaked from the adjustments. • At 46 pounds it is heavy for a portable griddle. • It uses a small 1-pound propane canister. To use it with a larger 20 pound tank it requires purchasing a separate adapter, which at the time of this writing was about twenty-five dollars. A stand would also be very useful and runs $100 to $120. • The hard cover lid just sits on the griddle to protect the cooking surface without attaching in any way. The handle is apparently just to hang it on the back of the grill when not in use. Overall, it’s a decent griddle but for my personal use it needs too many additional accessories to be convenient to use and it’s just too heavy.
When I opened the box, I was surprised by how bad the craftsmanship was. It’s like no one in quality control looked at the item and just shipped it off as is.
Missing the two knobs to turn on the gas! Calle Blackstone and they said they didn’t have the parts to send. Told us to return it. What?
