I love that I don’t have to have electricity to use this! I do recommend having a lot of AAs or a way to recharge some rechargeable ones. Did not use a lot of propane though! I can’t wait to experiment to use this more like an oven! Going to try to make banana bread on my next trip!
If you’re a camping enthusiast or even a van lifer, then this is perfect for you! I love how it is sturdy and strong enough to withstand camping. We brought this on a recent camping trip and it was so convenient to have as it cooked our meals thoroughly and so fast! So much easier than traditional camping. It heats up nicely and it’s very easy to wash. It’s so well-made, like every other product from this brand. I definitely recommend getting this.
First off, my original unit came damaged and was completely unusable, went straight to Blackstone and they were wonderful. Sent a brand new air fryer no questions asked. I live off grid (only use solar power for my electricity) so I’m not using this for a camping situation, it’s a permanent appliance in my outdoor kitchen and it works great for that purpose. Batteries don’t work worth a dang In this thing, it wouldn’t function properly with them. I plugged it into my portable power station and it worked beautifully. Only uses about 15 watts, so super efficient power wise. Don’t except this to be as convenient or efficient as a traditional air fryer. Takes about 10 mins to preheat to 400. It’s pretty large and clunky but personally not a big issue in my situation. While it definitely has some quirks, it does it’s job and it’s awesome that I can easily cook frozen foods with such little power consumption.
it works perfectly but they need to work on quality control as the orange paint on the sides was damaged and flaking off and i have seen other reviewers saying the same thing if you only care about functionality then its perfect but im worried about how far this flaking will go
works well if you can get the basket in all the way, and getting the basket back out is a fight because it is hot and the fear the cheap handle is going to break. It is convenient for its purpose but lacking in quality
Bought this as a gift for my mom for a planned camping trip and as we helped her opened the boxes we saw the shipping box was fine but when we pulled the actual product box out it looked like a forklift went through the bottom of the box, we pulled the unit out and it is dented on the back and paint chipped off. My husband then tried to put the basket in and it seems bent and doesn't go In properly, he then tried to force the basket in and then it didn't want to come out and felt like we would break the handle if we tried pulling on it. Very disappointing especially since this is such a well known brand. Not sure it's worth the money spent on it, definitely sending back
If I could give zero stars, I would. I really wanted to like this unit, but we ended up returning it the day we opened it. No matter how many times we tried (batteries only, plugged in, small propane tank, large propane tank) the unit couldn’t get above 120°F. We love Blackstone, but they missed the mark with this one.
I was really excited to get this air fryer for our outdoor adventures. Unfortunately, it’s made really cheaply, the door does not close, and the controls are complicated and flimsy.
The drawer was assembled completely upside down! They used rivets so I can't even fix the issue.
door does not fit in the fryer, can not use how do i return it
