The thing I like best about Denise Austin is she has a calm voice but gets you going at the same time. Blast Away the Pounds is great for beginners as well as a more advanced programs to change things up. I purchased this DVD for my husband. We have been doing a walking DVD at his " office gym", I always found the instructor very annoying. Overall, she has a great work out and I would recommend Denise Austin .

This video was exactly what I was looking for. Since my best time to walk is at 5:30 AM and it's still dark at that time I didn't feel comfortable walking outdoors. There are several "walks" to choose from so I can do a quick one mile easy walk or a more strenuous one if I so choose. The movements are really easy to learn and she changes steps throughout so you don't get bored. You do need a good 5 ft of space to move around in. I was definitely pleased with this purchase. This was also the first time I had ever ordered online from Walmart and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy and efficient it was.

I love this video the most out of all my Denise Austin workout videos. When I had my first child, I was totally out of shape. I had a hard time bending down and doing any form of exercise (including climbing stairs). This dvd has helped me to become more active and to progress to harder workouts, though I like to do this one because it pushes me hard enough to where I feel my heart rate increase, but it doesn't tire me out so that I'm useless for the rest of the day. This is my second copy I own. I love it so much that I purchased another one to replace the first copy we accidentally damaged. There is also a nice variety to the 3 different workouts and I love how they weren't too hard or exhausting for me.

I have done the first and the last workout on this DVD so far and they are okay. I bought it as a change from Leslie Sansone but I think Leslie's are better. I am a fan of Denise Austin but I think for walking Leslie is just more motivating. I will keep it in my collection to go to every now and then but I am not thrilled with it. Definitely is low intensity and a beginner should have no problem following her.

The content is very good. I enjoy working out with this DVD and it's effective. I had difficulty playing this DVD on my Bose system. It finally read after about three tries. All my other DVDs play fine. I had to throw away the first one I bought 5 years ago because of this same problem. It kept giving me "bad disc" error and eventually wouldn't read at all.

I have been having a hard time trying to stick with a workout schedule. This dvd allows me to work out when I have time at home. The instructor on the dvd provides a staisfaying workout. It is very convenient.

WE USE THIS DVD FOR OUR SEASONED SAINTS EXERCISE PROGRAM. WE HAVE FOUND IT TO BE A VERY GOOD TOOL FOR EXERCISING.

I've owned this vieo for about a year now & lov the versatility or doing 1-3 miles. I think this is the perfect beginners video however it's not for the advanced IMO. To me, the music seems a little low in parts & it's annoying to see Denise not keeping beat to the music.
