This product is grain free and when I switched to it my dog stopped have loose stools

Our Mastiff has a sensitive stomach and allergies. We’ve tried the more expensive vet foods. When they topped out over $150 per 20lb bag, we decided to look for something less expensive. Other mastiff owners on a site recommended this brand. We gave it a try. She loves it and it doesn’t cause the allergic reaction or stomach upset of other brands. Thank you!!!!

I think this is a great product, but my dog is having trouble switching to it. I don't believe this is a Blue Buffalo problem, though. Just being honest... My dog has been on the same diet for years but has developed some stomach issues. This product was recommended by my vet.

I switched my Lab mix to Blue Buffalo Basics Skin & Stomach Care Turkey & Potato Recipe because he has some food sensitivities that can cause skin issues. Since starting this food, I've noticed a positive difference in his overall skin and coat, and he seems to tolerate it much better than other formulas we've tried. The limited ingredients give me confidence that he's getting quality nutrition without unnecessary extras. He enjoys the taste, has had no issues eating it, and his digestion has been consistent. While every dog is different, this formula has been a great option for my dog's sensitive stomach and skin needs. It's not perfect and he still deals with issues from time to time but it's been much better and easier to resolve since switching. We'll usually cycle between different ingredients of the skin and stomach care food. I would recommend it to other pet owners looking for a gentle food option.
