A Diamond coating is useless when its thin as philo dough. I had item replaced because first received had a speck of coating missing from the cooking surface. It's replacement was better /normal, however it is already showing signs of wearing away. I do use it very often. A good electric skillet otherwise but I will not be buying another one. The thought of something hard as diamonds that can cut glass attaching to my food and passing through my bowles does not excite me to eat from it. Actually, it's kinda scary if you think about it!
I have wanted an electric skillet for years, but never wanted to spend the money, or deal with the cleanup. I'm glad I waited because this Blue Diamond 7QT XL Electric Skillet is a dream. The price is amazing and I just made the best, most fluffy, scrambled eggs I've ever made and the only change I made to the recipe was my new electric skillet. It wiped completely clean with a paper towel, but I can also put the entire skillet unit into the dishwasher. It may sound trivial but this is a really big deal to me. Easy cook, easy cleanup = looking forward to cooking vs dreading it every day.
It provides the ease of not turning on a stove for one meal or a family size meal. My favorite way to cook. No need for oil or butter, nothing seems to stick so far. Win win with my healthy eating style.
After returning three time being damaged or missing parts, we tried a fourth time and the package arrived intact. My wife loves it and uses it quite often. Very good skillet.
I loved this skillet when I got it on the 3 July today is 21 August it's not used everyday but is used a lot and it's showing like rust marks coming through on the ceramic where the element is no scratches on it and food is sticking to it I've never used it any higher than on med heat it's not abused so disappointed
I received this Blue Diamond Pro XL Skillet yesterday, May30, 2025. The plastic piece on one side of the skillet was broken (the base it sits on). I washed the lid and inside the skillet because I was preparing breakfast in it. I noticed the broken base when I inserted the probe for the temperature. And it is difficult to see the temperature setting because it is so far under the skillet. I sprayed a non stick vegetable spray in the pan and one side burned but the other side did not. Apparently it does not heat evenly. ☹️
Item arrived broken, I did return it for refund. However, I was not refunded my warranty that I purchased. They offer you extend insurance what they fail to tell you is you will not get a refund for a broken item . I would not recommend purchasing any warranty.
Product was bought as a Father's Day gift and came broken. He never got a chance to use it. And ever since i've had issues with walmart, trying to return it to either get my money back or get my dad a new one, it's going on three months, and i'm still trying to return it. And walmart is giving me the runaround because they expect me to drive over an hour away to a FedEx office to return it. Instead of letting me return it to 1 of their 4 local stores and you heard me 4 local stores that's right. They have four within a twenty minute radius of where i'm at, and they are giving me an issue of returning a product that I bought from them
Where the skillet attaches to the support handles with screws one is cracked. No damage when shipped noted. Boxed it back up and returned to store.
seemed to have been bought by someone else. The original box had been opened and the skillet was put back in the box without the original packaging. Needless to say I returned it.
