We have an 18 x 48 above ground pool which we also have a salt water filter for. The pump/ filter that came with the pool died within months of buying the pool. I was going to buy a replacement but they were just as expensive as the sand filter so I tried this. It did take a little while to put together but worth it!!! And no more paper filter cartridges to clean/ replace! I 100% recommend replacing your paper filter with a sand filter!
it is working great. the instructions made it very hard to assemble. ended up not using the o rings. could not figure out where they went. overall it is a great pump. my pool water is very clear.
Pool stayed dirty with just the pump that came with the pool. Now we can swim more often and the pool is clean.
great product we used this with our coleman pool.
works great cleaned pool fast kids swimming in no time
Great Filter works well, only concerns are there is no switch to shut it off, And the Teflon tape they give you is garbage, buy a real roll. The hose clamps are too big also buy some smaller ones. Once you get it to stop leaking, (as I stated the hardware they give you is horrible) Than its a great Filter
The clamps that came with it were waaaay too big. I had to buy smaller ones. The hoses could be blown off by the wind using the other clamps. Once it was all put together and attached to the pool, everywhere a hose was attached was leaking. We used extra thread tape with no luck, so we had to seal them with putty
this is small, there is no off switch which is terrible when I backwash. it clogs up fast. the flow is basic.\nmy pool is 18'x48""
Poor power and the instructions were a joke, it was trail and error on how to put it together. the hoses that came with it were a little too small and the clamps were way too big, when you use the clamps that come with it as soon as you plug in the pump the hoses blow off cause you can NOT tighten them any more, Had to buy smaller clamps to even get to operate. After NUMEROUS trips to buy the CORRECT clamps and hoses I would have spent bout 5 hours to set up something that should have took 1 hour and there is also NO ADAPTER to fight on more above ground pool systems, Will have to make another trip to a plumbing store to get that fiting
I purchased this, took it right back after I got it because the instructions for first time sand filter users was terrible. I was scared that I would do something wrong just because the instructions left out a lot of important information out that is needed for setup! This filter also does not have an on/off switch! You would think that after paying almost 200$ for the thing, that it would have an on/off switch! I also would like to say that when I opened it up when I first got it, and it appeared to have been used by someone else! The only thing good about the product was it got to me faster than I expected through the shipping, so only UPS gets a good review here!!!
