our intex pool did not have a above the water skimmer and the pool stayed full of bugs and trash on the top surface. the skimmer was installed and now I can walk up to my pool and not have to get the net and get bugs out of it.

I was disappointed the skimmers did not describe the color (it's grey). It seems there is a white one available but I didn't realize that until I received this one. Overall, good quality and would purchase it again if needed (but maybe in white).

I was unable to find a skimmer for the pool we purchased from Walmart last year. Ours broke because of how cold our winter was and I forgot to keap the drain cap off. Anyway, Walmart doesn't offer a skimmer with the pump on it like the one had that the pool came with so I took a chance and ordered this one and I am very pleased with this skimmer. All it took was a couple of modifications and it worked like a charm. Thank You Jim

is not an exact match for the swim n play pool-the picture makes the srew holes look the same but they are not this skimmer is a little bigger but it will work if you want to hook up a sand filter with hoses. The pool wall is thin enough to cut with a utility knife and then mark the holes and drill through the wall. The return eye is much bigger also but this too can be cut with a utility knife you willlose some water but after you hook up the sand filter the pool will look its best it ever has well worth the trouble as the filter/pump combo that comes with the pool does not do a very good job and only lasted for a year. Measurements in the description would have came in handy.

I bought this skimmer to replace the over the top one that comes with the Intex 15x48" metal frame pool. Walmart's prices was the cheapest so I ordered with 2 day shipping. Needless to say, 4 days later it still had not been shipped. A little complaining on my part and they had refunded me the shipping and 2 days later the skimmer was here. Works as expected and if your planning on putting this on your Intex, don't worry about cutting the pool. Those Intex pools are tough!!

It was not clear if the skimmer was complete with pump or not.......we gambled on it anyway......................IT is just the plastic top part that connects to the pump and did not fit our standard pump. Do more research than I did before ordering any pool supplies.

It's a plastic mold and not good. The surface that's suppose to mount to the wall of the pool isn't even. Returned product for my refund and purchased a Hayword from pool store.
