Pool Essentials Chlorinating Liquid for Swimming Pools, 1 Gallon

I was new to pools with a liner and did not know how to stop it from turning after the winter while waiting for it to be opened back up. I finally spoke to a pool expert that showed me mercy and explained what to do. He explained to me that a pool will be stubborn… well till it's not! Keep pouring it in that I didn't need expensive chlorinator to do this. It took 6 gallons but it did the job with the help of copper based algaecide (Clorox 4 bottles) my pool was crystal clear! The beginning was like a science project before I started. This stuff worked better than the expensive chemicals. (I spent a fortune on expensive chemicals that did NOT work before searching out the answer) I had it tested at a professional pool place and it had a reading of perfectly balanced. Don't buy the hype of expensive chemicals are better they are NOT!

We recently started taking care of our own pool chemistry and after exploring several options, this product is much more economical than buying from pool companies. We also purchased accompanying muriatic acid from Walmart. Although you have to check chlorine levels often (about 3 times/week), this did a great job for us than hiring a company maintain the pool. Also it does not add additional calcium or cyanuric acid. Our previous pool maintenance company used stabilized chlorine tabs that significantly raised cyanuric acid levels above 150!

I have a well and use this in the water treatment system. It worked perfectly and is the same stuff that’s used by the maintenance people who work on the system.

Best value for chlorine on the market. Period. (More work than tablets, obviously, or a higher concentration liquid, but cheaper than anything else on a chlorine normalized basis). This will always be my go-to.

I much prefer using the liquid chlorine rather than the tablets because the tablets will add CYA to your water over time. The only way to get the CYA out of the water is to drain or partially drain the pool, which is a waste of water in Las Vegas. The liquid does evaporate fairly quickly, but my pool gets A LOT of sun daily. It is super simple to top off the pool/spa usually every other day. My pool is around 10,000 gallons and I add a half gallon 3-4 times per week. My spa has a waterfall made of rocks with a lot of nooks snd crannies, so algae loves to grow up in between the rock feature. It's a beautiful nuisance… but whenever the algae gets growing I will take the pool brush to it and I see the green immediately in the pool water. I will add some of this liquid chlorine right into the pool with the pump turned on, and it typically clears the water up to a clear/blue color within minutes. The liquid chlorine works very fast compared to the tablets. Be careful when pouring it into the pool as to not splash your legs/hands/face while leaning over and pouring it. POUR SLOWLY and you should be fine. I like to put on a pair of disposable nitrile gloves when popping a new bottle open, because it has a pull tab seal underneath the cap of the bottle. Sometimes it will splash out if I'm not careful. It's a strong chemical, but if it does hit my skin, I will just wash off with some water (not pool water if you already added the chlorine!) and it is okay. But I wouldn't suggest being careless with this, it's a strong chemical. But that's why it works, this is all of the good stuff and none of the bad, exactly what your pool needs to stay clean and sanitized with no extra fluff from the pool store and their random chemicals. The pool stores want you to return and spend more money on unneeded extra chemical nonsense… that's why I only use this product in my pool, to avoid all of that costly pool store chemical stuff.

Works well but chlorine expires quickly. It needs to be a clear yellow color. If it's not, it's useless. That hasn't happened with this yet, but has happened to me other stores.So try to check it out before you dump it in. I didn't know this until many years after pool ownership.

This product has saved our pool while our pump motor is out. We have not been able to run our pool pump for over a week and our water is still completely clear. We're using this and then manually stirring it up into the water. Our pool has been saved by this while we're waiting on a motor replacement.

These two gallons were 231 days old! Liquid chlorine starts losing it's potential when it is bottled. Always check the date. Don't accept anything more than 50 days old.
