The temperature control is spot-on—my chicken comes out golden and crispy, not greasy. With the large capacity, I can fry appetizers, main dishes, and sides without waiting. The oil filtration system keeps things clean. Highly recommend for fried food lovers!
The size is perfect for my family, and the results are consistently delicious. Cleanup is super easy. One of my best kitchen purchases ever!
I bought a similar style and price at Home Depot. It was flimsy and poor quality. I found this one at Walmart and I am glad I did. This one was substantially discounted at almost $90 off. It's well built and works great. I don't have any complaints.
Arrived the next day after placing order. Works great. Cuts down tremendously on cook time! I've used it twice so far. I use it without the basket for more use of space. Heats up pretty quickly %26 cooked wings in under 10 mins for extra crunch! I fried 8 whole wings %26 7 flat pieces at one time, pictured below. Great product for the price!
I took 2 minutes to read all of the instructions and warnings. It is a hot-oil appliance, we don't want to burn the house down, ya know? I made sure the fryer was cleaned. I put it in a dedicated spot on my counter away from anything flamable. I filled the oil halfway between the MIN and MAX lines (you need good lighting as the lines are large but hard to see). It took about 3 or 4 minutes to bring the oil to 338. I fried up 400g frozen mozzarella sticks. They were done in 5 minutes. I let them drain in the basket for a moment and then emptied them onto a tray. Then I raised the temperature to 350 and did ~400g of chicken strips. It took about 2 minutes to get to temperature and 5 minutes to cook. Both dishes came out amazing! The sticks were crunchy and soft and nicely browned. I did an egg single-dredge on the strips and they came out crunchy with a nice color and were soft and juicy on the inside. When I first set the unit up I had it plugged into a power strip sharing only a toaster. I stress-tested the circuit and found out you cannot use a toaster at the same time. It tripped the power strip after a few seconds. I like the fact that the basket handles clip into place with a strong squeeze. When you're done you need to turn everything to OFF and unplug for safety. Then give it an hour or so before draining. The pan is somewhat wide so put your container in the sink for spills and pour from the corner. It's best to pour using a funnel or something with a somewhat wide opening. I use an empty oil jug. My smoke detector goes off if I'm grilling chicken because it's too sensitive but it didn't go off when I used this fryer, so it has a pretty good filter. As one video tutorial recommended: wet things (chicken strips, donuts, etc) should be placed into the oil with the basket already inside. If you put directly onto the basket and then lower the basket, the batter will stick to the basket. Dry stuff (frozen mozarella sticks etc) can be placed directly into the basket). Don't fill the basket more than half full (as per instructions) and I always shake the basket slightly half-way through the cooking to make sure nothing gets stuck together (good habit I formed working at a fried chicken place). Just be careful shaking so you don't splash the oil or scratch the pan. I also got the $7 three-year warranty because a lot of things I buy end up breaking down after a couple years. The baskets clip to the side of the pan at a slight angle for draining. Since it's not described in the description (at least not where I looked): When looking at the fryer from the front - Fryer itself = 11.5" W, 10.5"D, 7" H. Thermal panel adds 3" to the depth and 2.5" to the height The basket handle adds 7" to the depth. The lid has a 2" tall handle The baskets are 5" / 10.5" W, 7.5" D, 3" H. The power cord is 34" centered on the thermal panel, which is centered on the fryer. The rubber feet are 0.5" tall. The fryer has 5" handles on either side
My chicken has turned out perfect every time! Not too bulky but I have to leave it setting on the counter. Uses a lot of cooking oil but I can use it 3 to 4 times before having to change it out. Temperature is ok, I have to turn the setting way up to really get it going.
It takes a long time to heat up and to reheat the oil in between the baskets of food. The baskets are also very light weight. It's definitely not worth the original price.
I bought this for my father, he loves to make fried chicken, I thought this would be fun and easier for him. pictures of the pieces were too loose, and hazardous, he was very reluctant to even use it, he did put it together, but he felt it wasn't safe...
I have no idea about the product because it was supposed to go arrive the next day after l ordered it and it didn't arrive just kept getting delayed delivery l finally cancelled the ordered . I needed it by the weekend l purchased it so l was very disappointed with this order.
The first time using it, the first two batches (small ones because I just wanted to test it) were fine, but on the third, it just stopped working. The reset button appears to be broken. After multiple attempts, on multiple outlets and trying to hit the reset button, nothing happens. Terrible!
