Bob's Red Mill Buttermilk Pancake & Waffle Mix, 24 oz

Love it.

The product is excellent, but the new recipe is not as good as the old one. I don't know when it was changed because it's been a few years since I last ordered. I kept it in my freezer and had not quite run out when I placed a new order. Waffles made with 3/4 cup of milk and 2 eggs taste better than 1 cup of water and one egg. Why the change?

My family LOVES the buttermilk pancakes and waffles made from this mix. The only changes I make are; I replace the butter with a small amount of oil and apple sauce (green apple flavor). Also I replace the water with vanilla almond milk. My wife “needs” to have fresh blueberries in her pancakes, which means watching them closely so they don't burn before flipping. My son simply loves them “normal” from the pan. All in, this makes for a “wholesome” and quick dinner. A little cut up avocado and fruit on the side, occasionally some bacon and again, a great meal, anytime of the day!

Charged $10/a bag and couldn't even send the item pictured. What a rip

I love Bob's Red Mill AP flour, and several of the other products; however, this pancake mix falls flat — pun intended. It lacks flavor and it made the thinnest, disappointing pancakes. Both my young daughters were very disappointed with this mix, even after I added chocolate chip, which is saying a lot. Did I get a bad bag? A lot of these reviews for this product seem to be vastly different than the experience that I continue to have with it. Don't think I'd buy this again.

I'm surprised by all the great reviews. Am I doing something wrong? I follow the directions exactly. The flavor is acceptable. They don't rise at all. They're flat as, well, a pancake. Hmmm. I make my own buttermilk pancakes from scratch that are fat and fluffy and delish. Someone gave me this so I used it. Very disappointed, especially considering the apparently wholesome ingredients list.

It's probably the added wheat gluten that is to blame, but this mix makes rubbery pancakes. Wish I'd read the ingredients label before purchasing.

Like so many others, my pancakes didn't rise and were flat discs. The second batch I added some all- purpose flour and baking powder and they were at least able to be eaten. What's up Bob?

I was really looking forward to these, but sadly they turned out really flat. I followed the instructions for both the waffles and pancakes recipe and they turned out bad.

The waffle recipe is definitely incorrect unless you are trying to make crêpes. I had to double the amount of waffle mix to make it even close to making waffles.
