These corn grits cook up well and have a creamy texture. They are perfect with Cajun shrimp. I also dredge fish in the cornmeal when I'm pan frying. It forms a delicious crust.
I love these yellow grits or whatever it's called. I'm using them all the time. I would highly recommend these better than the white.
We were looking to swap out our old grits for something cleaner, and this has been perfect!
This is great polenta. I love the taste. It cooks easily. It took several days to ship, but was worth the wait.
this is my go to when it comes to comfort food I don't use water when I cook it I actually use heavy cream and milk and grass-fed butter and it is absolutely irresistible
I love these for making cheese grits. So satisfying, and easy to cook in the microwave. Cook in broth, then add a little milk, plenty of butter, seasonings and cook a little more, then add cheese. Also good with bacon or scrapple.
I wanted the original traditional white hominy grits; but now owned by a pharmaceutical company, I wonder if it will ever happen.
of you're looking for Southern style corn grits, ymthis Red Mill Polenta is not it. There is a difference between Corn Grits and Polenta. "Polenta and grits are both made from ground corn, but they differ in texture and origin. Polenta is an Italian dish typically made from flint corn, while grits are a Southern American staple made from dent corn, resulting in grits being creamier and having a more pronounced corn flavor."
I'm giving these low ratings because the product that was delivered to me wasn't the product advertised. Its advertised as Yellow Corn Grits but I was delivered Polenta. As I do know that they are similar but they are not the same.
I ordered grits polenta. I received just polenta. I do like that product but it's not what I ordered.
