It doesn't kill the gopher that I was evicting. It just makes the environment so distasteful that he left for better diggs! It is non poisonous to plants and other animals. Plus it is effective and can act as a deterrent for new plantings to not be targeted as a gopher banquet. Plus it is so simple to use. Great product.
We had a serious mole and vole problem tearing up our yard, and I was honestly skeptical that anything short of traps would work. But Bonide MoleMax completely exceeded expectations. After just one application, the moles and voles disappeared—and haven't returned. It was easy to apply, had no harsh odor, and didn't bother our pets or plants. I couldn't believe how quickly it worked! If you're tired of soft spots in your lawn and critters digging up your landscaping, this is the solution. I highly recommend it—it's worth every penny!
Have had major issues with Voles in my gardens the last five years. Had used this product many years ago, but had been trying to avoid chemicals if at all possible. Out of desperation, bought a bag of this that had worked very well when used before. Am hoping it will do the same this time too. The price is good if you can get it on sale, and it does go a long way when used properly.
This works for those critters that keep digging up the yard! ...moles, voles, gophers - I haven't seen any, but their holes are there. You have to reapply every 3 months, or else they'll come back! It is a 3-day application. Divide your yard into 3 sections = 1st day apply farthest away from the holes/mounds/runs; 2nd day move closer and hit the 2nd section; 3rd day apply all over the holes/mounds/runs. I don't see any harm in overlapping the areas - makes sure they go away and don't come back ... for at least 3 months.
We live in the woods with many rock outcrops. Moles are hard to control here, because the topsoil is so shallow and sandy. I have tried every brand and type and this seems to do the trick most of the time. However, it must be re-applied every month in damp weather to keep the moles, skunks and armadillos from digging. We also use mole traps for areas with deeper topsoil. It is safe under flowers, but not near creeks and water features.
bought for moles before putting up the above ground pool. A little complicated figuring out how to put it on the yard. still have some soft areas not bad for price just have to be consistate took 3 treatments
I followed instructions, it did nothing! It didn't cover as much area as it claims either… using pepper flakes boiled in water works better and is way cheaper. I was sad becauee it seemed easier than boiling water, then spraying the yard with it using a 2 gallon sprayer but at least my home method is effective… the moles and voles went about their day as usual using the castor oil pellets
This product was 100% ineffective. It was a total waste of two precious commodities~money and time. The application was easy but time consuming, and not one of the garden creatures listed/advertised was deterred, let alone repelled. Such a huge disappointment.
Product does not get rid of moles. Very disappointed in this product. My yard is a mess. We need something that gets rid of these animals fast! This is a waste of money.
Followed instructions to a tee. Still moles there three weeks later. Reapplied. Nothing. It kills the grub but not the worms associated. Waste of time and money. Should receive a refund!!
