Have never used this brand.. was suggested by friend. i did break the length of the WORM in 3 pieces as had so many tunnels in my front yard.. did this approx 3 weeks ago.. and have not seen any new tunnels and all seems "quiet" ! i will treat again later in spring.. Previously used pellets - that were a slower method I believe! this brand had great reviews also on line.. and I always follow the reviews and never disappointed!
Our backyard was over run with large mole mounds and our grass was disappearing. Decided to give these Tomcat Mole worms a try. There are 5 individual bags each with 2 worms for a total of 10 worms, Easy to use. Wash your hands before and after. Wear gloves because you do not want your scent on the worms and it is a poison, Find a large mole hills tunnel opening, place a worm down in it, cover opening and wait, It takes 1 to 2 days to see results. Note: Store carefully. Ours we keep up high in the garage. Because moles love grubs and like worms. We were advised to apply a grub killer to our lawn which we did (no grubs equals no special food for moles and no destructive grubs for our lawn roots).
This mole killer ONLY works when you fine a high mole tunnel , dig out some dirt to find the tunnel, then place it underground in the tunnel as best as you can estimate where the tunnel is... I place 4-5 fake worms in the same area, to acheive deadly results. I've seen repeated successful results using it this way.
I only had to use it once in 5 different mole tunnels. Plus I only needed two worms, which I divided amongst the 5 holes. Shortly afterwards my mole problem was resolved. I've used before and will use it again, I highly recommend it! I keep the extra worms in a ziplock bag in my garage refrigerator, they will meltdown in the heat FYI.
So far it is doing the job. Only did one application and haven't seen any activity in a week. I think I killed the mole. Wonderful stuff.
These work great, had mole issue, one day later gone. They took care of my mole problem. Highly recommend !
Had a problem in my yard and although there are still a few little rascals the majority have moved on.
Very difficult to know if the product worked or not, we could not see definitive results. It is pretty expensive for what we get. We will try it again.
I followed the instructions. I put out two boxes ofvm them, but really don't see any difference in the mole activity. Hate to spend more money on them just to see if they eventually work.
I've bought this before from Amazon. the worms were sealed in individual trays. These were packaged different and the worms had melted into a huge unusable mass. That's probably why they were so much cheaper than the ones from Amazon.
