Better than PenaShield
I purchased Bora-Care online through Walmart.com after discovering that I could not at Home Depot or on Amazon.com. I placed the order on November 20, 2025, and received it four days later.

THIS IS REALLY GREAT STUFF!!
this is great stuff, but read everything about this before using it, not just in one area but many areas!!! it is very affective!!!! it is very thick and should take great effort in using hot water, NOT BOILING WATER......this was also the best price I found anywhere!!!! YEAH, WALMART, FOR SAVING ME MONEY AGAIN.....if I need it again, this is where I will buy it....

The Best Way To Prevent Boring Insects, Safely.
This product is basically borax in a gel like suspension that you apply to bare wood and other surfaces that insects enjoy feasting on. We now have tiny critters that will tunnel through masonry when it suits them. Boracare will penetrate any porous material. I have been using it for a couple of years and have had the results I expected, no insect damage and some existing insect activity was stopped in its tracks.

Termite treatment
Our local exterminator uses this product so it seemed sensible to buy some to treat the wood in our crawl space and basement, which have been subject to frequent termite infestations during the past five years. The treatment has now been completed, so we'll see how well it works in keeping the termites at bay. Fairly easy to apply with a sprayer.
