Wow! These Bose sunglasses are amazing! Out of the box, it comes with it's own carrying case. It is stylish and has polarized lens. It is lightweight. It is waterproof. And it has built in bluetooth audio sound! I had this paired to my phone and had it on for 6 hours. Manufacturer says it can go 8.5 hours. I love the fact that I don't have to wear ear buds with these. No more wires, or dropping by wireless ear buds. That is true freedom. The sound quality is good. Of course it's not going to be the same as your home theater system. But for not having ear buds, I think the sound is very good. Just be careful when you fold up these glasses. It is not going to fold up as thin as traditional sunglasses in part due to the two larger plastic housing. It does look and feel it can break if pressed too hard. So I would suggest put it back into the carrying case for transport. Besides that minor part, I love these. Would definitely recommend it to a friend!
I could not believe the comfort and quality I noticed as soon as I put on the Bose Frames Tempo sunglasses. They are already a comfortable pair of sunglasses, but then when you throw in the modification of being able to change out the nose pieces to fit various faces/noses, that's a huge bonus right there. Additionally, the audio quality from these glasses is unbelievable. It's literally a touch of the button to turn the glasses on, you'll hear an alert about how well charged they are, and then it connects right to your audio source (probably your phone) and begins playing the crystal clear music. No doubt, you'll think that everyone can hear your music playing, but as soon as you take off the sunglasses, you'll understand how quiet they are when they are away from your ears. Just yesterday, I walked from my house to a local store wearing them, and could hear all the things still going on around me and was able to stay alert although I was listening to immersive music. The wraparound design of these glasses keeps more of the sun out than I think you'd find with other designs, so keep that in mind. Again, the fit is comfortable and I really enjoy that they were provided in a nice durable case for taking in and out of the car or putting in your backpack, etc. I haven't needed to charge these yet, which proves the battery life is impressive and they can hold a charge for quite a while and multiple wears before you need to connect them and recharge the battery. Overall, I give these an excellent rating and have no doubt you'll enjoy wearing these on your next run or even just a walk around the neighborhood.
Great product that has apparently been discontinued by Bose. Was seeking a second pair for my wife who loves to use mine. Walmart came through for us.
Pros: 1. Great stylish look. 2. Very comfortable to wear. The fit is perfect for me. It's doesn't fall off or feels too tight. 3. Superb build quality 4. Sound quality is amazing. You'll love it. Don't expect that bose noice Cancellation environment because this product is not purposed for that. 5. It comes with USB type C charger, its a big pro for me since all my products use type C charger so no need to carry an extra charger 6. The touch features are very accessible and easy to use. 7. The case is of good quality and has an inner compartment to keep the charging cable. 8. They do not feel bulky at all while wearing or by the looks. This will gel in the environment easily and won't feel like you are wearing some weird technology 9. The setup was very smooth and took only seconds 10. The bluetooth connection is very stable and it works even across couple of rooms. Very impressed. Future Improvement Suggestions 1. If we can charge these from the case itself also that might also bring in the feature of autoconnect post removal from the case. 2. The sound can be easily heard outside if you are hearing anything more than 30% volume in a quiet environment. 50% for outdoors. 3. There is no option to turn these On/Off from the app. Basic features must be there.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The idea is a good one but their is too much noise leaking, so everyone around you can hear the music if you are out and about. Which as they are sunglasses, you would generally wear them when outside.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these glasses thinking they would change my game for good - that wasn't the case at all. They're a real disappointment. To begin with, the sound is borderline terrible. They sound like a cheap knock-off product and I would not have guessed they were Bose branded if I wasn't told... They work with little speakers on the frame pointed towards your ears - these are not conduction bases glasses. That being said, it's like holding a little bluetooth speaker a few cm from your ear. The sound is not immersive whatsoever. You have to turn them up quite loud if you're outdoors as there is nothing to isolate the sound. This means you can't really use them around other people - they'll be able to hear everything loud and clear. It's also pointless using them in loud environments. You can't use them with earplugs as they're not conductive... The actual sunglasses are ok, the black glass that came with mine does the job. They tend to fog up as quickly as cheaper glasses though. If you're running, they'll fog up quickly. When they fog up, you have the choice of music and not being able to see anything or no music and you can see where you're going. This is easily solved by having separate earphones and glasses - I feel like they've invented a problem here. They're ok for cycling in that regard in that your ears are still open, but you have to turn them up even louder. Having them on so loud made me feel a bit dizzy and some ringing in my ears for a few hours after use. I'd rather just use earphones. The fit wasn't great either in comparison to some cheap sunglasses I have already. The nose pieces are good, but they don't really do anything. I feel like the frames generally fit too far away from your nose even with changing the nose piece. The shape of them is just a bit off. Overall, unless you get them for a really cheap price, just don't buy them. You can get good earphones and good glasses for a fraction of the price.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried these bluetooth glasses as an alternative to earbuds and on-ear phones. The sound is surprisingly good through the innovative speakers that project into your ears, although it is even better when you cup your hands over them, which suggests some improvements could be made potentially using drop down cups? Firstly these glasses solved a problem for me in that I don't like earbuds or things sticking in my ears. I enjoyed the final days of sunshine sitting outside with the glasses on. On the downside though, the lenses are quite dark making it difficult to see my iphone to change music. Also they are only of use in the sun so I have no need for them until the spring now. They are easy to set up and connect to your phone with just one button which acts as a connect button and also pause/resume and if you take them off and place them upside down, they automatically turn off which saves battery. If you place them right way up, they don't turn off which again is a useful feature. There is a volume control on the side of one arm which is operated by sliding your finger along it. I struggle to make this work though so adjust the volume from my iPhone. The following enhancements would be nice: - reactolite or adjstable / replacement lenses - an EQ option on the app - a less fragile feel to the glasses, for example a bit more flex or rubberiness on the arms and frame I think the price is far too high for the limited use of these glasses so I will be passing them on.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Firstly, the sound quality (when you can hear them) is superb. At full volume, the sound is a little flat, but in general you don't need the volume that high. In quiet environments (a garden, or walking away from a road) they are great. You can hear the music or spoken word well. However, get near anything noisy and you can't hear it at all. I guess this is the problem with external speaker headphones. I got them to use as cycling glasses, something which their sporty appearance lends them to, but on the roads, all you can hear is traffic noise, even with the volume up high. I also have an issue with reflections of my eyes if the sun is low and directly towards me. I think they would be great for lounging in the garden on a summers day, and maybe would work for an exercise where you can get away from external noise, but not for me for cycling. There is also an issue with he fact that they are polarised and the effect that has on viewing a phone screen, but that is a minor problem.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I currently own the Bose Alto sunglasses, which I am very happy with, however they are not designed for sport or activity, as they are a looser fit. I usually use my Oakley Sunglasses paired with by Bose SoundSport Free headphones for running, however when I saw this, I felt I had to try this as an option. offering removable lenses (Same as Alto) and a USB-C Charging standard, these were adaptable and unique, being able to control the music by swiping the right arm is very convenient, on top of that the accessibility to Siri/google by touching the arm is brilliant. My Initial Impressions when opening the box were very positive - The glasses come in a hard glasses case, which has a pouch for the USB-C Cable included and lenses cleaner. within the box there was also a selection of varying size nose tips, enabling them to be altered to suit your nose shape/size. Setting up is very straight forward, its as simple pressing the button on the arm, Download the Bose Music App and the app does the rest. The Sound is amazingly clear and crisp, providing a true surround sound atmosphere. being able to hear singing from both sides (Similar to Dolby Surround Sound). The way the music submerges you into the acoustics draws you in, You still have hearing of your surrounding if your near a road etc, which is key when I was out running and when crossing the road, all other noises from outside get minimised. The sound is comparable if not better than my SoundSport Free's (Which I will still use for gym work as sunglasses in the gym, look a bit daft...) The lenses it comes with which are polycarbonate mirrored black polarised lenses are comparable to my Oakley lenses, which were at a similar price point, without the audio, so easily a good positive, along with the fact, if they get scratched or damaged they can be easily and cheaply replaced (In comparison to competitors). When using these in anger whilst out running and cycling (The only activities I have done with them on) The arms hold firm on the sides, preventing excess movement , The nose pieces which can be changed provide comfort over the nose. In comparison to my Oakley glasses the lenses are identical, That along with the sound quality and option built in to these mean these are truly the best pair of Sunglasses I own, I am now selling my Oakley's as I don't have a use for them.... Should you buy them? Obviously this is my personal opinion, however if you in the market for sunglasses you can wear for activity and want the added benefit of being able to listen to amazing quality music, without anything in your ears, then yes, without a doubt. If your not sure then just trying these at a shop will sell it to you, listening to something immersive will sell the product as soon as you try them on.
I'm an avid runner and have always used wireless headphones when I run. These leave a lot to be desired as they can block out sounds from your surroundings and can put you in danger. The Bose Tempo sport glasses give you the best of all worlds - crisp clear vision, great sounding audio, and the ability to still hear your surroundings. The lenses rival those of some very high end sport glasses that I usually run with. They are clear and do a great job of cutting glare. There are no waves or ripples in the lenses. The audio is great as well. The sound is rich and full and all the while you can still hear your surroundings. You can also answer calls and the voice clarity is phenomenal. The frames are light and fit snug but not tight and are great for activities. I've used these for running and cycling and couldn't be happier!
