Boyd Sleep Universal Headboard/Footboard Brackets, Black

I purchased two sets of these brackets and a premier queen size bed frame to convert an old full size bed to a queen size. I had to do some adjustments to the head board and foot board in order to bolt the brackets onto them, but the result was great and now we have a nice guest bed. These brackets are designed for a newer style headboard that bolts to the frame. My head and foot boards were the old hook on style with hook plates let into the wood. I removed the plates and filled in the holes then bolted the brackets on with lag bolts. Seems very sturdy for anything short of a dive off the headboard.

Great product, follow instructions for easy installation. Must be used with proper bed frame otherwise as others have commented, it will not fit properlyk.

Design, great flexible too. Worked well for us. If using Spa sensations bed frame purchased from Walmart will need to drill a hole through the legs to attach.

These work really well with the bed frame that we purchased. However, the we had to make adjustments to our headboard to work with these.

I brought this to attach my headboard and foot board on my bed. Received it on the day expected. When I opened it only one set is included. Had I known I would have brought two, now will have to pay extra shipping. They were easy to put on, but had to raise the headboard a bit to match the holes.

Placed brackets on my bedframe connected to headboard within minutes had to elevate headboard some to meet up with the bracket holes tools required like a Philips to make everything snug. Was a little time consuming but only because my headboard wasn't lining up with the bracket holes. I would recommend this product.

I loved that it saved us money by not having to go out and get another bed. These brackets adjust and we were able to use our Cali King bed for a king size. There were a couple of things I struggled with like I couldn't get all 3 bolts in every bracket. The inside hole was off just enough that the bolt hit the bar and didn't line up. The other thing is the support bar. We could never figure out what to screw them into once they were attached to the bracket. There are no holes anywhere that we could see so they are just there. The brackets were attached with my bed bolts and with 2 bracket bolts and it seems solid enough so I didn't stress it. But besides that I am happy we could use our old bed so I would do this again in the long run.

The term "Universal" should not be applied to this product. While attaching it to my bed frame. one of the welds on a brace broke. I contacted the supplier and, to their credit, another complete set was sent me at no cost and I did not have to return the original bracket set. After mounting the bracket to my frame, I attempted to fit my headboard to the bracket and was unable to match the slots on the bracket to my headboard. I finally located two places on the bracket where, with some modification of the slots, I could finally attach two bolts. However, the headboard now was six inches above the floor and if one leaned against the headboard after it was mounted, it would tilt back and would either break the leg or snap the bolts. I'm now searching for a replacement bracket that will allow me to attach my headboard and that will provide the stability required.

This Premier universal bracket did not fit the Premier bed frame. They were "suggested" to be bought together. It would have fit and worked great if not for one extra metal piece welded into the track that should have fit over the frame. Frustrating :(.
