I do a LOT of ironing, and this is definitely a winner. It has a quality feel to it, solid without being too heavy. Irons garments beautifully. Temperature control is really good - the dial is great even if you want to change the temperature a tiny bit, which is perfect since I need that for some of the fabrics I iron (e.g. going from cotton to polyester mix and back again). There is only one (minor) criticism - the user manual did not explain the auto-off function! The good news is that the auto-off function works perfectly, I tested it. I put the iron resting on its heel for 30 mins, came back and the power light was blinking instead of on (to show it was in power-shut-off mode). I touched it and the plate was cool (a bit warmer than room temperature but that was probably because I'd had the iron on before that). So to sum up, YES, the auto shutoff definitely works. They just didn't explain about it in the product manual, oddly enough. Anyway, the iron is great, all features work perfectly. Definitely recommended.

I can't believe you charge more just for a different color how ridiculous I don't mind paying more for some thing that matters but just because you want a different color this isn't right

I did not get a chance to use for too long...just once. I am 57 years old and have had many irons in the past, but the makers of this iron place a thin white piece of plastic (in the shape of the bottom on iron) and when I plugged it the plastic melted to the bottom of iron and when I placed on my clothing that I was ironing the melted white plastic got all over my clothing. I never seen a plastic liner on bottom of iron before and they should have a notice on front of iron warning of the plastic, because the iron is ruined, I tried to scrap plastic off but it melted into the steam holes. What a mess, trying to get ready for work in the morning and I have this mess to deal with and go to work with wrinkled clothing. So no iron and ruined a pair of pants.
