this is a secure exterior door lock. it is very easy to install, it is fool proof. to install just make sure to line up the rod in the middle so it goes through the catch device and the 2 screw posts line up with the holes for the screws. the key hole can point up or down depending on how you want it. I put this on my front door and it took me about 10 minutes. good solid and reliable door lock. 5 stars

I got this to switch out the doorknob on my bedroom door. My husband had been putting off doing it for an extremely long time so I just did it myself. Installation couldn't have been any easier. I really didn't even look at the instructions. I unscrewed the old one and reversed the steps to put in the new one. The color states it's a MATTE black, but i don't know, i feel like it's a little glossy as it has a shine to it. This wasn't a deal breaker for me as it is comparable to all the other doorknobs in my house so it doesn't look out of place or anything. Overall I'd definitely recommend this.

Well made Doorknob, I've always felt safe with Brinks products. I'm using this doorknob on door entrance from my garage for extra security. It has a nice matte black finish, comes with two keys. Has a lifetime warranty. Easy to install with just a Philips screwdriver.

I replaced an old broken bedroom door knob with this one. The installation was straightforward, using one screwdriver and less than 30 minutes of my time. That includes the time it took me to pull it back apart and reassemble it when I realized I had the latch in backwards, lol. Follow the directions and you'll be fine. This knob is not at all flimsy. Its nice and sturdy and functions well. I anticipate that it will last a very long time. Im very pleased with it.

I left town for a few days for a vacation and my old door handle was very hard to unlock so my dad who was watching over my house asked me to install a new one so it would be easier on him. I bought this one and installed it the day I left. 3 days into my vacation a man tried breaking in my home through the front door but this lock was so secure (I have no deadbolt) that despite how hard he kicked and threw himself into my door it wouldn’t budge. He ended up breaking down my two back doors that were screwed in with wood preventing them from being used but this doorknob/lock was stronger than wood boards keeping my other doors shut. 11/10 recommend especially if used across any doors that have access to your home. Had I installed these on my back doors, he would’ve never gotten in. As cheap as these are, they are the most sturdy locks I’ve ever had.

Door knob has a Great finish and was easy to install. I put it on one of my closet doors. First time I ever changed a door knob and even though there are instructions included I didn't use them. It was a simple install, looks very nice and works good.

Installation was easy and the lock has a nice solid feel. I have only one disappointment and that's with the 2-pack. It's not a pair of matched locks. It's just two individual locks. When installing front and back door locks it is convenient to be able to use the same key on both. I got a two-pack the last time for that reason and when replacing them, I got a two-pack again. But this time, it wasn't two matched locks. Each lock has its own key. Sigh.

I love the look, but I am having an awful time getting these screws to fit properly. I will need to buy some others so it will stay attached to door. Pain in the neck.

I liked everything about this lock other than I bought a two pack expecting it to be keyed the same. I wanted the same key for both locks but it is not. that is what is very very very very disappointing. you buy a two pack. they should both be keyed the same so therefore it's getting a very poor rating
