Brother Genuine Drum Unit, DR223CL, Yields Up to 18,000 Pages, Color

I love the item I just wish You would put in the description it is a box of 4. So instead of it saying Brother Genuine Drum Unit it would BROTHER GENUINE DRUM UNITS(4 PERBOX). The way you have it worded it sounds like it only has 1 per box.

Worked exactly as described. It would be nice if the drums were universal and maybe they are, because the black drum seems to need replacing fastest. I do understand that the paper goes through All four drums even if it has no color in the print, and therefore the drums theoretically wear out all at the same time, but in practice/reality - the black drum transfers more toner and therefore sees more wear & tear. Overall though, perfectly fine product at a very reasonable price. I have ONLY brother printers and scanners (except one small Epson for travel), and I appreciate that the company doesn't share the same business model as other manufacturers.

These items are not new and are defective. The box was open and the drums were used and don't work

We bought MFC-L3710CW color printer 3 years ago and the printing quality is so bad. We hardly used it. Printed less than 500 pages, mostly black and white. This is the 7th set of drum we bought for this printer. The last set was installed a months ago and hardly used. The ink for each drum is full but the printer says out of ink and need to change tonors. When I used HP printers and I do not need to change the toner for several years! I try to contact service department and live chat but get nobody.

I have had the same problems as others with my HL-L3270CDW. I replaced the black toner once (genuine Brother toner) and it's been black streaks non-stop since. Cleaning the drum multiple times (which is a huge chore) made no difference. I'm leaning towards junking the entire printer rather than roll the dice on a new drum set.

I am on my third (black) drum. Large areas where black ink will not print to the page, in the exact same location on every page, has been the bane of my experience. The issue is always immediately rectified when i purchase a new drum unit, however the new drums don't last more than 1000 pages. I see similar experiences. This is false advertising. The quality control does not match the promises from this printer's description. I have now had to put more money into this printer than I paid for it, on this third drum. This is not lawful and I am entitled to recovery for my costs and the time spent reprinting and printing at .25 cents per page at the local office supplier, for my legal documents, that have been disrupted by this quality malfunction. I have been tallying up my losses and if it reaches a certain amount I will be providing Brother an invoice, and subsequent small claims filing in the event they do not rectify this. I invite Brother to take measures to remedy in advance however. I have no choice but to purchase the 3rd drum, however I expect compensation.

I have not even gone through a brick of paper which is 500 pages. I must have only printed 200 pages of just plain text with no graphics. They are not telling us the truth about the page capacity as much as 18,000 pages. Maybe if you print one word per page!!! Very disappointing.

I've had this expensive laser printer for a year. I have printed a total of 480 pages, mostly black-and-white, and not a single page could be considered a clean print. The color text on the test print pages is sharp, but all of the pages are covered by a layer of black/gray streaks. I've done the recommended cleaning step-by-step on several occasions hoping for a legible print and have only been disappointed each time. The black cartridge seems to be malfunctioning. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to locate a place where I can buy only a black cartridge. I can only find them available together with all the other colors, which I do not need. I expected a better product from a seasoned company.

I buy this replacement and walmart send to me another piece more cheap and I buy to higher amount

Started using this printer l about 3 months ago and have gone through less than 4 reams of paper and it's already out. So less than 1,800 pages if I had to guess, a far cry from the 18,000 that is promised. Most of my documents are standard word docs and emails, nothing majorly graphical. Very disappointing.
