BROTHER SM2700 Mechanical Sewing Machine with 27 Built-in Stitches

This machine is AWESOME!!! I got this for my daughter's Birthday. She LOVES IT!! She is literally using it right now!! She is finding creative ways to use it. She is turning an old shirt into something else! I can't wait to see how it turns out! This little machine is not super light, a little on the more heavy side, but feels sturdy. The design on the machine is cute. I'm really satisfied with this purchase!

This was the lowest priced sewing machine I could find with a full range of functions to adjust stitch length and width. Tension adjustment worked fine and machine sounds solid when sewing. Needle position selection is a bit different from what I am used to on Singer machines. Apparently you have to check to make sure needle does not hit the presser foot on some stitches and then make adjustments. Have only used it once to hem several sets of curtains. It worked fine. It needed a little help using the hand wheel on some of the thickest seams but that happens on almost every machine unless you are willing to spend much more money!

I bought it for my granddaughter it is very easy to set up very easy to set decorative stiching has 27 different stiches. I am very pleased with the value and mechanics of the machine

When my order arrived, the carrying case was missing so I called Walmart to let them know. They quickly sent me a return label which I placed on the sewing machine box. The FedEx truck came the next day to pick up the sewing machine and to leave my new sewing machine with its carrying case. I was very pleased with the speed of the process. I love my new Brother SM2700 sewing machine! It works great and is exactly what I wanted!

I just got it yesterday, it is beautiful all I could hope for in a sewing machine. I have been studding the manual and will go online and find out more information. I have sewing projects waiting. Repairing and fixing clothing and lots of fun ideas, on what to make. This was such a great deal, on a wonderful sale. Thanks Walmart

After checking you tube found the skipped stitch was my not getting the bottom thread around the tension spring. My bad due to the 1st time using a drop in bobbin. I love the machine. Even sewing over other seams it runs full tilt. Everything about it is likable. This is coming from an 86 year old that hasn't sewn in a while. I love the myriad stretch stitches. The bobbins look small but hold a lot.
