I am no techie so I was surprised and pleased how easily this printer was to set up and get running in minutes. Love the ability to print from PC, iPad, and iPhone.
The quality of print is really good and it prints fast. My issue with it is that one I select to print either from my computer or my iPhone it takes a while before it starts printing. Not sure if that's normal or it has something to do with my connection. I don't recall my other laser printer taking that long. I would highly recommend this printer. The scan and copier work well also.
Prints beautifully. Fairly compact machine. Connecting to the internet was a bit challenging until I found a YouTube video that showed the process. It came with a starter toner cartridge which should meet my needs for months. I have not tried scanning photos yet, but I'm looking forward to copying boxes of old pictures.
This printer is a workhose and built solid. easy to install, great software. one negative as with all other 3 in one printers, glass scan area not big anough for 9x12 or 10x12 documents. Only one paper tray. Mechanically, this printer rocks.
I like Brother printers. And I haven't had enough time to install the printer yet.
I am very happy with this printer, but was unable to blue tooth to my computer for some inexplicable reason, so I had to order and wait for a couple days for delivery of the the usb printer cable. Once installed, the printer works well and prints quickly. I am very happy to rid myself of liquid ink. I probably spent at least half as much on ink in the last year as the cost of this printer. My cannon ink printer finally would no longer print even with a cannon black ink installed because the color ink was empty. I only print black (as in documents) and had the printer set for black only printing for at least a couple years with the color being empty. Possibly a software update eliminated that ability as it would not accept the new cartridge and kept saying that it was out of ink. I always used cannon as it was an inexpensive option and worked well. This last problem sent me to brother. Consumer reports gave it a reasonable rating, not the top but good for the price. I am happy with this machine. I hope it has some lasting power.
instructions for connecting printer to home network is extremely poorly written. what could of been a very installation turned out to be unexpectedly troublesome. I've installed many different brands of printers and this one was not the worst, but I probably wouldn't buy again because of its unnecessary difficulty.
