These work great for starting pepper seeds. I use New Mexico chiles and I got better germination with these trays tha any other method I have ever tried. They keep the coir medium at just the right moisture.

i love the idea. the cells don't all expand. very hard to expand.

This is a poorly designed seed tray. The wicking mat is not long enough to partially lie on the bottom of the tray. The dome is ill-fitting and doesnt sit securely on the tray, nor does it have any vent holes to allow air to circulate. They look like lids to bakery pans that have been repurposed. Three of the 36 coir discs did not expand when I poured warm water over them. Aside from the inconvenience of this self-watering seed tray, I am anxious to see the germination rate. I would not buy this product again. I have another burpee tray which I like a lot, but it is sold with no dome at all. When I contacted the company to see if one could be purchased separately, I was told to cover with plastic wrap.

The material of the article is excessively weak.

I bought 4 of these. When I opened up one I noticed the lid doesn't fit. I will be returning the other 3 soon.
