Bypass Lopper

Had a pair of loppers that were defectively designed. Had a 1/2 inch gap when fully closed. Useless. I used these to take out about 45 cubic feet of tree in less than 20 minutes.

Not a professionals tool. Gets the job done at home. Inexpensive and well made.

Surprised how sharp it was. Only used it once so far. It is a bargain.

Debated between 3 & 4 stars, because I really like this item. They have just the right reach & are light weight & comfortable to use & work very well, but the blades are not "Heat Treated" as described, or if they are "Heat Treated", they are not "Hardened", because the cutting blade edge curls up & does not hold its edge. I have some hand pruning shears that I have had for many years & have never had this problem. With these, I have had to sharpen the cutting blade several times & I am just cutting small green limbs, nothing hard at all. I decided to keep the item for now though because other than that, I really like it & it does have a 5 year warranty on it (although I am not sure how I would get the warranty honored), but for the price, if I have to run a file over the blade now & then, its not the end of the world, just as long as the blade keeps cutting & doesn't wear out. I like the item enough that I still recommend it, just keep this in mind about the blades.

this product is made with lead and/or lead compont per the warning label on the product - this will be return as soon as i can. i did not want to rate this do the the dangerous lead
