C & S Products Woodpecker Suet Treat, 11 oz Cake, Wild Bird Food, 1 Pack. Fresh

This is the only suet that I have been buying for 6-7 years, it attracts Woodpeckers of various sizes, Flickers, Towhees, Juncos, Chicadees and the occasional Warblers. I have a feeder with the tail that can house double suets and I find myself having to replace them 5-7 days. They come frequently to feed.

The birds who visit my yard make short work of each of these cakes. So make sure you buy plenty. I try to buy the 4 packs when Walmart makes them available and store them in my freezer to make transferring them into my suet holders easier and less messy. Love watching the Downy Woodpecker get a front row seat at this feeder. I hang my suet feeder so it swings, makes it more difficult for the Common Grackles and European Starlings to remain on this feeder.

Lots of types of wild birds in my yard like this suet. Some birds hang on the feeder and eat small bits of food directly. The small woodpeckers and flickers tend to pull larger seeds out of the suet cake and take a seed to a tree branch, bang the seed to open it, and eat the kernel. They also lick the cage wires to eat any of the suet binder that gets stuck. So much fun to watch! My indoor cats like watching them, too.

I installed two of these into my suet plug container and am still waiting for the woodpeckers to come by. They fit nicely into the standard cage. Great product. I would buy it again.

I'm impressed with the quality because it wasn't all goopy, or crumbly, was fresh and came out of the plastic container cleaner than most. smelled fresh. the birds were so happy and I like the price!

I ordered two of these and only received one (4pkg). Called customer service and was told I would be credited the one I didn't receive. I still have not be credited.

Even though it says "12 pack", I got only 1, so I returned it. I don't know about the quality of the suet itself, but beware of the misleading quantity!

We have always used Pennington suet for our birds. Ever since they change the packaging right around August 2025 our birds will not eat it. We have lost many families of birds due to this. I bought several flavors and they are all the same. The birds always love, hot delight, and they won’t touch it now. It’s winter time and Cardinals loves suet and they won’t touch it.

Beware of this listing. It purports to be for 12 suet cakes but it is really only for one. I requested a refund, and was given a return label, with no explanation for the fraudulent listing or any message of apology. In fact the listing remains unchanged, though it could be corrected in minutes.

The description says it is a multi-pack of 12 bird treats. I only received one bird treat, not the pack of 12. I can apply for a refund of the cost of the bird treat, but no refund for the cost of shipping. Very expensive bird treat that would cost about $1.50 if bought individually at store.
