This item is a necessity for anyone who wants to hook their tv to their pc. My grandfather sometimes have difficulty making it to his computer desk but with this splitter a sound splitter and a vga to hdmi box I purchase from Wal-Mart he can now surf the web and play poker from the comfort of his couch.

It was exactly what I ordered and needed. Cheaper than Amazon with free shipping too. Came in about 3 days. Amazon wanted $7.99 for shipping a $6.99 part!!! Just another reason I love Walmart.

I liked this item; it helped me join dual monitors together without a lot of hard work.

It works great. Sadly its my pc that will not allow it to be used as I needed. I do have another pc tho I will be using it on and will purchase another splitter here soon.

I didn't research the item before I bought it. This splitter allows your computer to use 2 different monitors BUT it shows the same identical thing on both monitors. I wanted to be able to use 2 monitors to help me shuffle my work for better viewing. What I needed was to be able to see several different documents at the same time but in full view. This splitter can't do that. I was told this type is used in clinics and offices that have multiple monitors or TV's for people to view while in a waiting room. If you have a standard desktop and want to use multiple monitors you have to either 1) add a stronger motor, and an extra video chip [I think. Ask a computer expert. I got the info from Best Buy but I didn't write it down.] 2) use one monitor with an HDMI -- but it looks different. It takes time to get use to using.

My PC would not support the "Cable Matters VGA Splitter Cable". Screen quality, definition, powering up, etc; all changed by using this splitter. Diving further into the computer settings may clear up these issues. I will look further into the problem. But the splitter does work.

So I brought this cord thinking it would allow me to have a dual monitor set up. I hook the cord up to my monitor turned on the computer. Was disappointed All it did was copy my screen. So then after doing more research I realize I needed a USB to VGA cord with I have not gotten yet but I hope that works. If you looking for a dual monitor don't buy this cord. This is a good cord if you looking to hook up like a projector.

Cord too short. Image wasn't sharp, not as clear as it was prior to connecting vga splitter cord.
