Cafe Bustelo is a great buy for the money; strong, aromatic coffee that gets you going in the morning! It's all I drink and the Walmart prices are the best. Highly recommend, if you can't stand weak coffee! I use it in a French press (4 1/2 small scoops works well for me).
Café Bustelo is the kind of coffee that doesn’t gently wake you up… it clocks in early and starts yelling “LET’S GO” in your kitchen. Bold, dark, and espresso-style strong with that classic, rich aroma that makes you feel productive even if your to-do list is just “exist.” It brews smooth and punchy, great for a moka pot, drip, or a “this cup is my personality now” strong pour. If you want a mellow, whisper-soft morning hug, keep shopping. If you want coffee with a little swagger that makes Monday flinch first, this is it.
It's my backup in case I run out of green coffee beans to roast, or don't have time or energy to do it. The vacuum packing means it's much fresher than most whole-bean coffees you can buy in a store, and the roast is consistently excellent. You can brew regular coffee with this; it doesn't have to be espresso only. Use a paper filter for best flavor, because espresso has more oils than lighter roasts. Be prepared for high caffeine content, and use caution if you are sensitive to it. Bustelo also makes a decaf, which is equally excellent. I mix 'em. Smells great, tastes great, great price for the quality!
I adore Cafe Bustelo. Since I initially discovered it when I lived in NYC, it quickly became my go-to-always brand of coffee. I've lived in Southern California now for 48 years, so I've been a Cafe Bustelo drinker most of my life. I absolutely love it. The taste and aroma are exquisite. When I brew, I add a bit of cinnamon to the filter basket. Its' a heavenly brew.
I'm super picky about my coffee, I have tried all of them, but I always keep Bustelo in the house. I use an espresso machine and my coffee never tastes burned, bitter, nor harsh. All my guests love it, and my noncoffee drinking sister even comes over for a cup...lol. Its wonderful.
This coffee doesn’t wake you up — it files a restraining order against sleep. Brew a cup and your kitchen instantly smells like a place where mornings mean business. The roast is so dark it has opinions. Smooth? Not really. Gentle? Absolutely not. Effective? Like flipping the breaker switch on your brain. The flavor is bold, gritty, and unapologetic. One sip in and you’re sitting up straighter, moving faster, and quietly judging anyone who says they’re “not a coffee person.” No seasonal flavors. Just open it and accept that you are now awake, focused, and mildly overqualified for whatever task is in front of you. This is not coffee for people who swirl, sniff, and describe “notes.” This is coffee for people who need results. Drink it if you want your morning handled quickly, efficiently, and with zero small talk.
Bustello coffee is from New York. I A Spaniard went to New York him and his wife were brewing coffee in their home and they opened up Botello coffee cafés in New York. Him and his wife only brew the finest coffee beans for Bustillo coffee. My favorite is the espresso. But they do make many different flavors which I love those also. Please make Botello the whole bean available inside your store. You will be surprised how many people will go to the coffee aisle just to purchase those whole bean coffee the best taste ever thank you, Walmart for always being there for your customers. Thank you.
what I like the most about this Coffee ☕️ is its actually 100% REAL COFFEE one of the only ones still out there at a price still affordable. if you do your homework even these top brands no naming names are no longer 100% there all cutting corners and using whatever they can find thats the cheapest and mixing batchs that are untraceable. fact check ir, dont take my word for it. this brand is the real deal. you will notice it as soon as you open it. Im not talking about plastic K Cups 🚯
This was always NYC’s go to because it was cheap and decent I’m not loving the new price hikes I expected more from a company that so many have been so faithful to for our entire lives however I get it due to tariffs but it’s getting a little too high however I will say it’s still the smoothest for the price and the caffeine content seems to be still high I use it in Nola pot and shoot it like a shot with no creamer and it does me good for nearly all the day.
I found this brand by chance, when I swung into a dollar store to grab coffee. Lucky for me they were out of everything but cafe bustelo. I thought, "shoot. I guess I'm stuck with the cheap, bitter coffee nobody wants." I was shocked with how good the flavor was! It's really smooth but strong. I've never bought anything else since. I always recommend it to fellow coffee lovers.
