Camco 22823 TastePURE 10' Premium Drinking Water Hose - 20% Thicker Than Standard Hoses (5/8" Inner Diameter)

This is for my rv which we live in full time. It cost only slightly more than other hoses suitable for potable water hoses (including Camco) with plastic fittings. The plastic ends cant be more than "hand tight" without stretching the plastic fitting and causing leaks. This one has metal fittings and one can even use a wrench if necessary.

This is hose is high-end quality. Finally a hose with stainless fitting that work and will not fatigue. Hose does need to be flushed for a few minutes to remove the "new" taste. I use this to fill my RV and also will be used to fill plastic 55 gal drums at home for emergency drinking water.

While hose shopping I was puzzled by all the hoses that may or may not be safe for drinking water. I didn't want to worry about telling friends and family not to drink from the hose so I bought this one. I will definitely use it for any and all hose needs and expect it to last awhile. It looks and feels good and solid. I spent a little extra for the cool blue color and machined fittings. For the price this seems like a great deal. The only reason I didn't give a perfect score is because I wanted a 75' hose so I bought a 50 and a 25. I was also a little surprised by the strong plastic / rubber odor that came with my first big drink, but expect that to go away with time and use. You may want to run more water through before having a sip.

Our current water hose for the RV is this hose, only 5 years old. The old one finally blew out and this is a replacement for it. I could have bought any hose but chose this one because the last one wore well, lent no off-flavors to the water and was a good hose. So, not only do I recommend this hose to others, now I have bought it a second time.

I'm sure it's a better grade of hose but I wasted my money thinking this was the taste free blue water hose. It tastes worse than the white ones...disappointed to say the least.

The hose itself is nice and the fittings seem well made, but the swivel is so tight and slick that if your hands get wet you can't turn it.
