Have been successfully using for 30 consecutive days at a campground with very high water pressure. Despite previous cautionary reviews/warnings, I have not yet experienced any problems or product failures.
just what we needed
I have blown out two XPro hoses, the ones that stretch when you tur. On water. Pressure too high or hoses poor. Bought this to reduce the pressure and so far the hose is working. Not quite as much pressure as I'd like bur enough to water plants etc. definitely a solution for my problem.
item was delivered and great 👍
Works great my tests were positive and should work for a long time
This is a must have for any RVer. I recommend connecting at the spigot rather than water inlet. No need to unnecessarily expose your hoses and external filters to sustained high pressure.
After a broken water line, a bill for $300 to Leak Detection and their discovery that we had just shy of 100 pounds of water pressure coming in from the street, it was easy to see that our ongoing problems with bursting garden hoses could easily be eliminated by installing pressure regulators on the hose bibs around the house. So far, so good... just screwed these little guys on, attached the hose and the pressure on the garden hose is now manageable... this little device reduces the pressure to 40-50 pounds (plenty for any hose) and should pay for itself by not having to replace burst hoses every six months. Made from brass in the USA, this seems to be the answer to our problem.
Works like a charm. I have not had any trouble out of this product.
It fits, I guess it is working fine. I am using it at my home which has a well. Havent used it yet on a trip.
Bought this at my local Walmart today and installed today. Worked Ok for a couple of hours. My wife took a shower with no problem. I let the RV water heat back up then took my shower, or at least tried to. After about 30 seconds the water just shut off. I turned the faucet off and waited a few seconds. I turned the faucet back on and had water flow for about 3 seconds then it quit again. My wife tried a sink faucet and after a few seconds it quit. Finished my shower using the fresh water tank and the water pump with no problem. After, I went outside, disconnected the hose from the RV, turned the water on, heard lloud hammering and felt pulsing at the hose end, then the water quit. Removed the regulator and put the old regulator back on. Everything now works fine. I have never had a regulator problem before but do change the regulator every couple of years just to play it safe. I looked at the reviews for the same regulator on Amazon after this fiasco and guess what; several people had the same or similar problem. Will return it to Walmart tomorrow and replace with a non Camco regulator.
