Camco 40431 - White Roof Vent Cover

I ordered 2, to cover both vents on my motorcoach. The products arrived, well packaged, to my home, within 3 days after order confirmation. Venting an RV is important, especially in the winter, to keep keep moisture buildup (inside) to a minimum. This product allows me to keep the roof vents open, without worry of rain entering the motorhome. I'll use this in the summer, as well. Even going down the road, while using this product, is great, because my vent flaps don't flop around. I have one vent cover over a high speed fan vent, and it works just fine. The other cover is over a vent with a single speed fan, and works great. Installation of both vents took about a half hour, as I was prepared with the right tools. The video was VERY helpful, prior to installation. Good product. Good service from Walmart.com. I only wish that Walmart stores near my home, sold more RV products in their RV accessories area.

The covers came from different locations or warehouses. Some were packaged very well with air bags all around. One warehouse just tossed it in a box and taped it closed like a five year old did the job. If it were not for the fact that the covers are made from a flexible plastic I feel it would have been damaged in shipment. Other than that I shopped the internet and Walmart was the best price and delivery in the market.

It was easy to install and matches the covers already on my coach. Best value I could find. Picking it up at the store saves S&H, and we are at Walmart at least three times a week.

As RV'ers, know leave a upper vent open it'l rain. Needed a vent cover and only place that I could get one was 40 miles away and heavy on the price. Walmart had it for me in less then 10 days and NO shipping. Walmart was only 3 miles away, I saved $$$'s on gas, my time, and on price. Highly recommend Walmart and their efforts to keep prices under control.

very good price on a quality vent cover, all makes of these vent covers are translucent and so is my trailer Fantastic Fan lid, so to be a true sun block I have taped off the outside shell and applied a good coat of plastic paint to the inside, reduces the heat coming from the sun thru the translucent covers

I needed 4 of these, local wm had only 3. They were more expensive in the store, but I did not know that when I made my purchase. Install went smoothly. Drill 4 holes, mount up the hardware, and twist your hands around upside down and backwards to do the final install inside. You need to go back on the roof one more time to sock up the nuts, but not a problem. One of my vent covers did not have all the hardware, so I had to match up some washers and a few nuts, thankfully, I had something in my trailer, or it would have been a big pain. that is the only reason I gave it a good for meets expectations, I expected it to have all hardware, and it did not. Product is fine. Now I can leave my vents open all the time, figure this will keep the trailer cooler, and extend the life of the roof and everything inside it. Other reviews complain that you cant keep the vent all the way open, but this is no problem. Only tip is before you tighten everything up, make sure you slide it forward and back and try your vent cover so that you can open it the maximum amount, or you may have to re-position it / re-install it. I had no problems, but remembered to check it, could be a challenge. Overall, worth the investment and piece of mind.

I ordered two of these and they were sent in two shipments from two different Walmart warehouses. The first one was shipped in just a plastic shipping bag with absolutely no padding. As one would expect, it arrived damaged. Evidently that warehouse could care less in what condition the package would arrive. I returned it to my local Walmart the next day and then went to the RV dealer and bought one. The second cover arrived a couple days later and it was properly packaged in a box with lots of padding. The covers were easy to install. I have had these covers on a previous RV and they were great for keeping the rain out while allowing the air in. They also keep tree debris out of the vent.

The covers fit perfectly over the vents. for the value they are great. Just wish we didn't have to drill holes, but that was really not too bad. I do wish that there were vents on the side, but then they would probably cost more like the others we have seen. It's really nice having constant ventilation year round! Makes the RV not so stuffy.

I had MaxAir smoke coloreds on my last trailer - they worked quite well at keeping out the weather but letting the air flow (including from the bathroom vent fan.) These Camco covers are more compact and the screens and louvers are tighter so there seems less venting but they are doing a good job keeping out the rain so far and seem okay as to quality. They are less than half the MaxAir price so to be fair Camco offers a good deal here and I'm happy enough. The Youtube video was a big help to me on the installation - I had all the right tools and knew what to do as soon as I got up on the roof so thanks to Camco for that too!

Covers were about half the price of other retailers, even ebay. Did have a few issues worth mentioning. Covers arrived in a cardboard box with NO packaging, wrapping, or cushioning. This resulted in the tops of the covers getting a slight buffing/scratching pattern from the cardboard. Mounting hardware was hot-glued to the inside of the cover and some of the pieces were missing. Luckily, I ordered 2 covers and the hardware issues evened out between the two.
