It is a quality rope. Surprisingly small and light weight, I was concerned at first, but after reading and learning about how anchors work and hold boats, I am now glad that it is only 5mm. It doesn't need to be a 1/2 inch rope to be strong. I've used it twice so far and it's performed admirably. I hope it proves to be durable. I think it will be. Be aware folks that you need an anchor chain as well to complete a proper anchoring system. And using gloves when deploying and retrieving is just common sense.

I was going to use this for my anchor but to small for using with your hands. (for a power winch). I will keep for that since I purchased a power winch.

It was not what I expected. Too small for 20 lb. Boat anchor. It would burn your fingers if you let rope slide through hand while lowering anchor in water. For a smaller anchor it might be OK.

OMG I dont know how this size of shackle and rope is supposed to even pull up 100 lbs.its small than a clothes line and the shackle I would be so scared to rely on this for a anchor especially if u needed it for a emergency. I am returning this item. YES it says the measurements. but when you see the weight you look beyond it.

Calling the product "anchor rope" is a real misnomer. Granted, it gave the diameter of the rope (5 mm) in the description, the product would be capable of holding maybe a row boat or a kayak. I think you should note in the description that it is designed for lighter uses like row boats or kayaks. It's certainly not heavy enough for a notor boat or pontoon. I returned it to the local Walmart for a refund.
