Genuine Danforth - tried and true design!
Don't be fooled by imitation fluke style anchors. This is the genuine Danforth design which is what you want for sandy and muddy bottoms. Other designs are better for grassy and rocky bottoms. I have ordered one for myself, and one for a friend whose lightweight anchor never seems to hold. Use at least 3' of chain and a good quality 3-strand line with plenty of length to get the proper digging angle. It doesn't hurt to go one size up one size for your boat to allow for anchoring in current, rough conditions and windy days. I search several places and Walmart has the best price!
