I buy this Griddle last mount , and it does the job is the beast griddle to cook meet for tacos for 15 or more peaple in less then helf hr , easy to clean , the griddle heat evenly and that is so good
This griddle made our camping trip simple and hardly any dishes to clean. Cooked almost everything on it. Eggs bacon sausage flapjacks chicken steak sausage the works! Clean up was extremely simple and fast. My only issue is that it claims to be preseasoned but I feel is a weak attempt at it so I'd reccomend reseaoning it.
A great addition to any two or three burner camp stove, this griddle greatly extends your cooking versatility. I'm using it with a Camp Chef two burner unit. We've taken it camping once already, and it worked perfectly. Very solidly constructed, and with many thoughtful features such as heat difusers, a carrying handle and a grease containment and capture system. Be sure to purchase the optional SGBLG tote bag too. The bag is the best way to store and carry the griddle. Express delivery was very reasonably priced, and delivery occurred before the promised date. Wal Mart did have the best price I could find anywhere.
We purchased this after enjoying our FTG400 at home desiring a similar cooking experience while traveling in our RV. We already had an older Camp Chef Weekender that has given us years of great service. This 16x24 griddle fits perfectly. Take out the grates and set it on the stove. The burners align nearly perfectly to the diffuser plates on the bottom of the griddle. We tried it out with several meals already while camping and it was a great success.
In my opinion, this is the number #1 must-have accessory for a Camp Chef stove. Perfect for everything from pancakes to burgers. It is designed to distribute heat evenly so you can cook on the entire surface. It's cast iron so it's heavy but should last indefinitely if properly maintained. Note: you must provide an empty soup can (or similar) for the grease catcher.
This griddle is a MUST HAVE as far as I am concerned. We have cooked pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, hamburgs. (has it's own grease drain channel with holder for a can grease drains into) It is an all-in-one cook top!!! No messing up a bunch of fry pans, etc.
Bought for use on my Broil king BBQ as wanted best of both worlds, season and cooked a few times on it now and works wonderful, no warping, retains heat very well. Carry handle is great as it is a heavy piece of steel. Very happy and would recommend for sure.
I have the 3 burner stove, this covers 2 and leaves the third free. It heats relatively evenly and is a nice option to have. The first thing I used it for was cooking chicken Philly cheese steak sandwiches for 5 people and it made short work of it. It is great having the third burner free to boil water, make coffee etc... I have not used it to make breakfast yet, but have an outing soon and am looking forward to giving it a try. Walmart did a nice job shipped it out and arrived quickly. It is a little pricey for a hunk of iron, nearly half the cost of the entire stove, so I scored its value a little lower.
Works really well and fit our Pro 90X perfectly. We cooked enough food for 14 people this weekend on it. Handle everything from breakfast to dinner. There are a few hot spots but just like any cooking device you just have to know where they are at and work with it. The only suggestion I have for some improvement is the drain hole for the grease. Several of our friends who have the same burner-griddle setup said they opened the hole up larger and made their own catch. I would have to agree with that as it got more difficult to get the grease into the can as the drain filled with bits of food.
I am very disappointed with the quality of this griddle. I was reluctant to purchase it based on the reviews of it warping after use but I went forward with the purchase hoping it was just an anomaly. After the first or second use I noticed it would no longer lay flat on the stove frame. I have now used this griddle for 5 separate events and the warping has continued to get progressively worse. To the point it has developed a crown in the middle of cooking surface. The cooking surface itself was coated with some type of material that is no peeling off. In contrast i have the 16" griddle that came with the stove that is in perfect condition. The material they used for the 24" is thinner so i don't think it holds up to the heat as well as the 16". They need to increase the material thickness and add some stiffeners to the bottom. I would not purchase this until they address these issues.
